I replaced the "new "mainboard for my HP laptop elitebook , I often get the error "FAR must be enabled before MPM can be locked".
I filled in all the DMI information, selected Lock MPM, but it can't be Locked.
Please help me. How to fix?
        Thank you very much!!!

I still don't understand what you mean. In this case, I only have the way to load a new bios.
                  Can you explain in detail?

Yes it's exactly what I mean...Write your BIOS chip again with the content what you provided in post 83
There is no error "Your system is not fully configured. Please contact HP customer support." right?...just the FAR error...
Then try to rewrite your DMI data according to what you have...even without any tool, just go to BIOS settings and enter the missing data at option "Set Machine Unique Data" when entering the bios...you have it all in the second file you provided in post 83

                        Have a nice day!

Can I find a description somewhere for the newer series of HP machines that no longer work with HPUnlocker? I don't want to post on the forum with every machine if I can solve it myself.

I tried it based on the video I found on youtube, but the password remains, but the keyboard is not detected. I will upload the original bios, please someone delete the password!

Echoo the fix for the intel hardware for this generation is to wipe the EC firmware NVRamActriveRegn section, about 4Kb. That section isn't populated in the AMD EC firmware but i've found it in a different area. Going to try wiping it and see if works!

Reporting back that it did not work :/ didn't brick the system or see any messages about bios recovery which we get when we make any edits to the main bios - but the bios password remained

Also tried wiping the EC firmware entire, system recovered it. So i tried wiping the EC firmware and flashing an 'unlocked bios' created with the older HPUnlocker tool. Still no dice.

Looks like somebody figured this all out months ago. Trying this now, post 161

Edit - I need to learn how to read, this is the Intel based system. Naturally the ECUnlock script works.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Unfortunately, some of these modifications like to Intel BIOS Guard failed because it is fused into the PCH. Also,...

                                          Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a dead MSI GP75 Leopard (MS-17E71) motherboard (i7 CPU, NVIDIA GPU) with a no display/no backlight issue initially. After extensive investigation, I’m at a critical stage involving EC firmware, BIOS/ME region interaction, and possible deep corruption. I'm seeking advanced insight from anyone with experience in EC/BIOS sync issues or PCH-level behavior. Here’s a full breakdown:
                                          🧩 Initial Issue
                                          • Board powers on (fans spin, keyboard lights up and can be adjusted, caps lock led lights), but no display or backlight

                                          Hi,

Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000.
