Is it ok installing a Type-C without Controller IC?
Is it ok installing a Type-C adapter on a laptop when the charger controller IC is removed? I am repairing a laptop with a burned charger controller IC, and after replacing it with a new IC, it burned again. I want to check the voltage on the ics pin without the Type-C controller IC soldered -

Chromebook can't turn on without a normal battery
I have several chromebook laptops, the problem is that the battery is damaged. I tried to buy 1 and I tried on all off units can turn on normaally. This means the Chromebook can't turn on without a normal battery.
is there a way to turn on a chromebook without a battery with bios or hardware modifications? -
when i plug in the battery the voltage goes up to 12.1V and it is look like charging the battery...

Thinkpad A485 won't turn on
I am working on a Thinkpad A485 laptop, board code NM-B711 with a problem that it won't turn on.
I checked this board using the BQ25700A charger ic. On the B+ output I get a voltage of 9.16 Volts (page 58th) is the B+ voltage normal?... -
