Hello,
I have this Dell G15 5515 that is fixed now. However, it is doing everything except posting. I suspect the bios is corrupted.
Please, help me fix the bios file.

The file in post 43 when unzipped is larger in size by 1K. It's 16,385K in size. It should be 16,384KComment

I stripped the last 1K from the file to make it match the size. However, after reflashing the bios, computer is not even attempting to boot. I tried another bios file from this thread and the computer boots but with obviously the wrong service tag number.
Can you do me a favor and fix the bin file I posted in post 44 ? Thank you.Comment

Dell G15 5515
I tried reinstalling the BIOS several times, but it didn't work. Every time the problem remains the same (hanging on the logo, endless boot. Booting from a flash drive also doesn't work. The SSD is recognized in the BIOS but doesn't boot. Please help.

Does the SSD drive contain Windows OS on it or are you trying to install a fresh copy of Windows?
I have a good bios file from a Dell G15 5510 machine. I can upload it here if you ask for it. I believe 5510 and 5515 are similar.Comment

- Try the method at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools before requesting help
- Explain you were not able to succeed with the methods at BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools
- Use search function in case someone already answered your request
- Post under a related thread if it exists
- Provide the full machine model number, serial number (or Service tag, SNID) and the board model number (see https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=88758 ) ,The serial number, make, full model number, motherboard model and revision (except QR codes) must be written/typed at your request as per the rules. Not as a picture, part of the file name and so on.
- Name your thread with make, full model numbers and request
- Provide a BIOS/EC dump if possible

- Post what the problem is, be specific - black screen, no boot, running slow, password. Do NOT post "clean me", "clear bios", "clean bios", "fix bios", "bios need" or other such terms

Here is a bin file that has been a life-saver in the past several times. It was extracted from a G15 5515 machine with a R7 CPU and RTX 3060 graphics card. Last usage: a similar model came with 2 ember/1 white light flashing pattern indicating CPU issue.
After applying this bin file, computer booted just fine. It will ask you to type the service tag#.

I'm working on a Dell G15 5515 (Ryzen 7 5800H, RTX 3050 Ti) and recently installed a compatible 4-zone RGB keyboard and controller (for Dell G15 5510/5511/5515 models). While the keyboard functions for typing, the RGB lighting is not detected by Alienware Command Center (AWCC), which displays “No AlienFX devices found.”
What I've Tried So Far:- Reseated the cables.
- Reinstalled AWCC and AlienFX services.
- Attempted BIOS downgrade but no improvement.

Hello, I have an old Dell G3 3579 (ST: 2WQ7LP2-8FC8) with a newer 8FC8 BIOS password. I have successfully attached to the flash chip (W25Q128JVSQ) on the motherboard with a CH341A programmer and made several modifications using Intel FIT (e.g., allow software SPI write) without bricking. I was also able to boot to a modified GRUB shell where I attempted to edit many BIOS security related options like BIOS Guard/Lock, Flash Signature Override, ME FW Image Re-Flash, etc.

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this, my Dell G15 Ryzen Edition does not post anymore (black screen, no Windows boot, no BIOS screen) after Windows Update pushed what appears to be a buggy bios image, I've tried the following with no success:
- Receive help from Dell Support (it is out of warranty).
- Disconnect machine from AC power and battery overnight.

Hi, I hope some one has some advice for me. I searched the forums but didn't see anything relevant. I acquired two identical Dell 9010 Mid Tower computers from a business office upgrade (they were going to throw them out). Both of them have the same motherboard (00F82W). One of them works flawlessly. The other one had a corrupted BIOS. I tried flashing numerous main BIOS and EC files from the internet, but none of them worked. Could someone help trying to unlock this BIOS, seems that Dell have changed the layout of new Dell Pro 8FC8 bioses from checking HXD - 4000 bits do not need changing, only 2000. However after FF the section starting from '01000' upto 2000 bits and then soldering the chip back it seems that the microchip on the motherboard is recovering the bios back to original settings after first boot.
