Update on the Kindle Missing port, i connected it per instruction given by you guys here only soldered the side 2 pins for the charger, but it only turns on with the charger plugged in,it wont turn on or off, if i plug in the charger it comes on if i disconnect charge it will stay on for awhile, then turns itself off,but if i don't connect it to the charger it wont turn on,also there is a orange led on when is charging,i think it should be a green led,
is there anything that i did wrong?
Also can i use Gorilla glue to hold the USB port on the sides of the port to the board to better hold it or is it conductive?

If you use Gorilla Glue test it first on similiar material. It could dissolve some plastics.
there are 2 ground pins, the other side is the 5v.
the remaining 2 are usb data
they link to the other side of the board, so you could fit a fine wire through the hole to solder to the pin.
So going back to Stj comment it would seem that one of the 2 ground pads are missing. This I guess is where the trace went to the black chip/cap? Those 2 gnd. pins need to be connected and the black Chip/ cap where the missing trace went to also needs to be connected to the gnd? Is this your understanding STJ or am I missing something?
sounds like the battery is bad or not charging to me.
i'm sure the led should be orange when charging, and turn green when charged.
Thanks i will leave it charging all night and check it in the morning, but i'm preety sure that the green light never comes back and can't turn it off cause the power button is not active exept when charging or not.
