Yep, cost me $24 for an 1/8in, 2 carbide dill bits I'll probably never use again.

Could be worse. Not sure when I get back to the TIG, but it’s not happening the next 2 weeks… maybe on the weekend. It’s firewood splitting time and got to mow my fields off.

Yea, I haven't got much done here, I still have a few components I want to check out before I test. Father's day weekend coming up too. Probable get back at in a few days. I hope you get all your work done as well. Have a great evening.

Yeah… more BBQ and on the weekend. Work was crazy today. I did cheat and started mowing, but must my blades are so dull, I might as well mow grass with toe nail clippers.

Yea, I can't wait , my daughter makes a fantastic steak , and shrimp. Wash that all down with a cold one. Relax! That's my plans. Get out that grinder, and file, sharpen
those blades, makes it easier on you, and that mower. Have a great Father's day weekend. I'm going to get a few more components this afternoon. I'll let ya know what I find.

i figured out why my mower was mowing so shitty. The blades were bent! Had to order a couple of new ones. Funny you say shrimp... The last time I made shrimps, the whole table got quiet, no left overs and got request as birthday meal. lol

Steak, and shrimp one of my faves.Daughter does it outside camp style, open fire, baked potatoe in fire, so good with Ice cold beer. Did you get any vibration with those bent blades.

You're welcome to anytime. Plenty to go around. Bring my favorite with you, some Crown Royal. I got a few things over the weekend done. Replaced some caps on the Power supply, and a few that have that corrosive glue all over the place, mostly the big caps. Some on the control board. Then re check the components we changed, then I'm testing on dim bulb. Praying for a successful test.

Do you know if the tester I use, can test components in circuit? It's the FNIRSI.

Components as MOSFETs, BJT’s etc have to be always out of the circuit. Even with capacitors it depends on the circuit. I am using the Peak DCA Pro and even with that the component has to come out.

Yes,I just did a little more research, and no, all components must be out of circuit, reason I asked I wanted to check those white plate resistors behind the 4 big main filter caps, hard to get anything back there. I'm not suspecting any damage, but just want to be sure!

I will, two of them are directly under the heat sink, can't get to them easily.

Odd place for them to be right under the heatsink where you hardly can get to.

Yea , every thing is packed in pretty tight, just behind filter caps, and heatsink. I have a pair of long clip on grabber leads, so I think I'll be able to get at them. If not I'll just remove the caps , and replace them now , instead of later.

I think it's time to replace now, rather than later... just saying... you put this much effort into the amp, a few new filter caps wont break the bank.
