Sometimes you need to break shit to fix it.... Thats why my lawnmower doesn't have a deadman switch or engine brake anymore

Re: LG Dyrer Dley1201w
I looked up the motor for the OP's dryer. It is an induction motor, no brushes. The start/run centrifugal switch is probably broken and stuck in run mode. There isn't enough torque with the run windings to turn the drum from a stop.
The motor is about $170 plus freight from a reputable supplier. Check appliancepartspros. They have outstanding warranty (1 year no questions asked and will accept returned parts, even electrical)Stupidity should be a crime, especially for drivers. I have NO patience for them.Comment

Re: LG Dyrer Dley1201w
I repair LG Appliances for a living and I suspect one of these: door switch, belt tension switch (on motor bracket) or a thermal fuse (on blower housing) the service manual is:
MFL62119959.pdf and you probably can google it and download it. Also check that both sides of the 240volts (1/2 of the supply could be out or a loose connection) to the center terminal.Comment

by CapLeakerMy Bosch NEXXT 500 dryer quit today, press start nothing happens and the start button just keeps blinking. Not cool. Reset the dryer, same thing.
Even so the buttons feel good, my problem was the start button smd tactile switch on the PCB. Cleaned the switch with alcohol followed with Deoxit and the sucker runs like a champ again.

by notallbadJust wondering if anyone has successfully attempted a re-gas on a heat pump tumble dryer.
The dryer currently in question runs on R134a.
The dryer has been completely stripped down/cleaned/tested and re-assembled however there is no heating/cooling effect so working on the assumption it requires re-gassing. Of course, its likely theres a leak which would require soldering or even the possibility that the compressor has an internal fault even though it is running.
I was thinking of getting a car aircon regas kit or probably easier but slightly dearer an hvac... -
by Sam ScarboHello,
I'm helping my brother to fix his Blomberg laundry dryer. He called a repair guy to have a look and the repair guy said the control board is faulty. They said the replacement board costs $400. Too expensive! 😨 My brother asks me to take a look. He has checked the door switch and thermal fuse, etc., and those seems fine.
After plugged to mains, there is no display. There is just a clicking sound from the buzzer, like one click per second. No other response.
I suspect the firmware inside the MCU (ATMEGA64A) got corrupted. Can someone in this forum by any chance provide...3 Photos -
by JakubMHello everyone, I'm troubleshooting our malfunctioning Bosch serie 6 washing machine and can't find many answers online (or ones that I can make sense of). At first it started showing error E:60 -9 and would not start a program. After several restarts it's no longer showing the error codes, but when I start any program (drum cleaning for example) it fills the water in but the drum doesn't start spinning. I couldn't find any physical obstruction, but turning the drum by hand I feel resistance. I tried opening it up, trying to inspect the motor brushes. This model either has a different motor that...1 Photo

by Joe24Patient is a Maytag/Whirlpool/Kenmore clothes dryer. Not sure of exact model, doesn't matter. All boards are out of production.
Specific problem is a Maytag 8544799 / WP8544799 motor-control board, aka Diehl Controls 708879-05. Customer states the board "doesn't work, motor doesn't run". Not sure how the repairman made that assessment, or if it's even accurate. He can't get replacement boards, and the owner decided to buy a new dryer, so whether this board is the problem is speculation on his part. Again, doesn't matter.
I've been over the board looking for... - Loading...
