Re: Philips 65PUT6121 - no backlight
Ideally you need to strip the tv down to access the led strips to confirm you are ordering the correct ones though I havent really had any issues ordering according to the panel i.d.
Same tv model can have different panels and hence different led strips.
Remove the rear panel to confirm the panel, will be a label attached to the metal chassis with the panel number and use to cross reference to the led strips compatibility.

Re: Hisense H50N5300UK reboots when showing full red images
will the tv power on with the tcon disconnected? albeit with no picture
Can you connect an external source with the test pattern that causes the reboot to see if the tv will stay on or not.
if it stays on next try it with the tcon connected but the panel disconnected, try the test again. results?
This will possibly eliminate the main and tcon and possibly prove its the panel.Last edited by notallbad; 09-03-2023, 03:20 PM.

Re: Philips 65PUT6121 - no backlight
how old is the tv, probably at least 2 yrs old, so at a guess the leds will need replacing soon anyway and for around £25 you can get a full complete brand new set. But highly suspect leds are the cause.
Connect an external source with sound playing so you can confirm the tv is on and working but the fact you can see a faint image already proves this really!
How did you measure the led voltages? black probe to gnd, chassis?
What voltages do you get on pins 1, 2, 11 and 12 with led connector removed?

Re: Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Just the main replaced and now working again though still waiting for backlights.
It has exactly the same boot sequence, 5 red flashes and both tcon blue static leds.
So looks very likely it was corrupt fw or faulty chip.
Comparing the voltages the only difference is blu_pwm 0.46v this is with backlight set at 12 whereas set to max 20 it reads 0.5v.
od-on/off is 0.3v lower but dont think this is of significance....

Re: Samsung UE43j5500ak
I just had a similar thing with a samsung, did a factory reset thinking it would correct the fault but instead locked up at the end of the setup process now wont switch on.
I believe the wifi module needs physically disconnecting before doing a reset from reading other threads.

Re: Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Heres some voltage readings.
If I remember, shall do the same again with new led strips and again with replacement main....Last edited by notallbad; 08-27-2023, 08:19 AM.

Re: Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Just as a note for anyone that comes across this later for help I have also disconnected the panel one side at a time, then both, then t-con from main but still 5 red flashes, no backlight, no image. Oh yh and only getting 1 static blue light on the t-con board, not sure but possibly
should be 2. Actually there are 2 static blue leds on tcon, 1 is under the heat shield plate.
Disconnect main from psu and get backlights come on.
For reference the red standby light comes on from power being applied,...Last edited by notallbad; 08-27-2023, 06:58 AM.

Re: Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Well, seems it wont start up now, just 5 red blinks.
Shall look for a replacement main I think.
I do know the backlights need changing as some lenses have fallen off and rattling around inside plus there are bright spots and some have a blue tinge so shall order some backlights too.

Re: Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Cant access menu as its stuck at 'Setup complete' page.
Am currently waiting for main board to cool down, possibly hot, to try again once cooled down as could be a fw/hw issue, namely a corrupt chip.Last edited by notallbad; 08-26-2023, 11:21 AM.

Samsung UE55JU6000K stuck at 'Setup Conplete'
Reset the tv as internet connection not working, connected to router but no internet.
Did a factory reset and completed the initial setup process but now just freezes on 'Setup Complete' page.
Going into service menu it says 'Failure' at the top of the page and unable to access the 'control' screen.
Its already on T-HKM6DEUC1570.0 fw.
Are the SVC reset options likely to help here?
options are
apps reset
svc reset
spi flash reset
data sync reset
Any help appreciated.

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
It was more of a theoretical question rather than practical.
Assuming the donor refrigerant and system are ok would the process be the same?

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
Thanks again.
As soon as I get some equipment I shall update.
Looking to obtain gauges, hoses, vacuum pump, refrigerant leak detector, vacuum gauge and k-type thermometer.
Question - is it possible to refill refrigerant from another system rather than from a cylinder or can?Last edited by notallbad; 07-30-2023, 02:20 PM.

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
What is this part thats connected directly to the bottom of the compressor? Which is on the low side....Last edited by notallbad; 07-28-2023, 03:41 PM.

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
History of the dryer is unknown.
If it were sudden I would imagine there would be obvious signs of refrigerant leaked and a vacuum test would show this up which is yet to be done....

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
How does this system differ to that of a cars/automobiles air con system? These generally require topping up or replacing every 2 years or so and not due to system failures but just part of a maintenance procedure.
What I'm really getting at I guess is that this dryer is 4/5 years old so would it not just likely be a case of needing similar maintenance/top-up as an aircon on a car?
Of course, doing a pressure test would eliminate any leak faults and save on the cost of wasting refrigerant but the nitrogen for a ptessure...Last edited by notallbad; 07-27-2023, 06:00 AM.

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
Thanks.
Would I be correct in saying that the refrigerant would need recovering first with a bullet piercing valve on the low side, then remove the bullet piercing valve and replace with a brazed valve whilst also brazing a valve on the high side, to then hold vacuum on the low side for 30 mins or so before then replenishing the refrigerant at the correct pressure/temperature....

Re: Heat pump tumble dryer regas
But we are a family of 7 and having clothes lying around drying would be like living in a clothes shop.
Why let someone else have all the fun!
I was offered £20 for it and that wouldnt go far towards a new replacement, a secondhand unit possibly but then theres the possibility it wont last long unless you can find an honest seller. So many crooks about selling rubbish....
