Bosch serie 6 E:60 -9 and drum not spinning

Hello everyone, I'm troubleshooting our malfunctioning Bosch serie 6 washing machine and can't find many answers online (or ones that I can make sense of). At first it started showing error E:60 -9 and would not start a program. After several restarts it's no longer showing the error codes, but when I start any program (drum cleaning for example) it fills the water in but the drum doesn't start spinning. I couldn't find any physical obstruction, but turning the drum by hand I feel resistance. I tried opening it up, trying to inspect the motor brushes. This model either has a different motor that I saw in videos, or doesn't use brushes. BUT I noticed the drum resistance stops when I unplug this blue connector from the motor (see photo).

Is there a way for me - an average non-technician without any specialized tools to fix this? Or do I just bite the bullet and call a technician? Thank you for your time and insight!

That error has something to do with either the motor, the wiring or the motor driver board. You need a DMM and tools... and be able to take the driver board out.
I think the problem is the motor driver board and there is a large STK something in there, which probably is faulty. If this is the case you need a soldering station too.

Thanks CapLeaker! That doesn't sound like something I'd be able to do on my own. At least not without some detailed guide - any chance something like that exists? Or how to look for ways of diagnosing/fixing it?

If it is the motor control board, you should be able to buy the whole board and swap it out. However to confirm my suspicion, you need to take that motor control board out and do some measurements on the motor driver IC itself. If that is bad, replace the board or replace the motor drive IC yourself or a friend that knows how to handle electronics on the old board.
Plus there is always YouTube that can show you on how to take the washer apart. Tricky thing is getting it back together. Take pictures each step when you are talking it part, so you know where the wires and plugs, screws etc went.
Sounds daunting, but only half as bad once you see one being taken apart plus you taking picture along the way…
You do need basic tools and a multimeter, there is no getting around this requirement.
Here is a picture of what a motor control board looks like. This NOT your control board, just something for you to look at. Underneath that heatsink is that STK with some numbers and the tons of little legs. That is the IC to test.
