    SANWA multimeters?!

Did anyone have some contact or opinion on this general DMM instrument (e.g. RD700)? Is it of good quality and made of branded components? Are Sanwa equipement long lasting and precise? Thanks!

Just can all of these knockoff brands and save up for a Fluke.

You can get decent older models under $100 bucks new on e-bay.

Even in the used market a Fluke is still better than a majority of these other brands new.

I agree with Krankshaft and Brian C that Fluke makes some excellent stuff, however, I have found that Sanwa of Japan also makes some excellent test gear. As your web link points out once one goes to the genuine Sanwa site, there are knockoffs [ counterfits ] to watch out for. The real Sanwa units are excellent for the money.

American Fuke?I Do you know anything else to say??? Fluke is OK but I asked for Sanwa info not on Fluke. Equaly good or even better multimeters makes Extech (Craftsman) and are better than both Fluke and Extech are Kyoritsu multimeters (one of the best in class), KEW is Kyoritsu patented tech in compressors equipement.

Sanwa is an old Japan company and I need some user opinion on SANWA, if he/she used it. Not for other brands that I know on my own. E.g. you think that Carrier makes best professional/industrial ariconditioning systems (it's the largest company incorporating Toshiba and Tadiran) and they are very good but in compare to much older Japan copany DAIKIN they are nothing but simple toys. Popular brand is not enough.

              Thanks

Sanwa has been around for many decades and has a reputation for high quality. I'd certainly be happy to own a Sanwa meter (after my Fluke 8020B got stolen out of my car).

Thanks! Even worse, they also got a digital camera and a GPS receiver because the car alarm's door switch was faulty and I didn't know until I checked to find out why the alarm didn't trigger.

Moral: Never leave anything valuable in a car even if it's right next to your house on your property and even if it's got an expensive alarm.

We all know FLUKE is a very popular brand and yet Sanwa is unknown for most of US tech people.

I have been working using sanwa for about 10 years (now I'm 25) and fluke for about 4 years.

I like to say that the quality of sanwa is as good as fluke. and Feel like fluke is bit overpriced.

                        SO I RECOMMEND SANWA.

Has a Sanwa RD 701 home but would be happy instead it contained the Fluke which I have at work.

I have a Sanwa analogue meter ..... it's the same one that Justine Yong uses in some of his vids and if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me.
