Ok i will admit i haven't done anything to this tv other than plug it in. This tv as soon as i plug it in, the green power light will start blinking and do so infinitely. the tv itself will not boot, no backlights, no screen no sound. Before i start tearing this tv apart, I wanted to hear if there was anything common that people might know about. As soon as i clear my workstation i can tear it apart to look for issues.

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
I have a LC46D85U TV that does the same thing. The code on mine is power 2 / opc 1 per second. The one thing we have in common is our TVs have the same power board. I've had no luck finding a schematic for it anywhere online.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
ok so slight update. I held the power button in as it was blinking then the light rwent red . if i hit the power button again it would go orange then the backlight would come on for about half a second id say then would go back off.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
This model is well known for the backlight board to become not seated fully. There are plastic clips that hold the board in place that allow the board to loose connection: try reseating the inverter boards then doing a lamp error reset. Hope this helpsComment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
Sweet I'll give that a try and let you know thank you very muchComment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
no dice. It appears that the board's are seated normally with the screws. i can try the lamp reset but no idea how to do that. I also find it weird that there are 2 inverter boards.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
It uses Master and Slave Inverter boards because the lamp for 52" are very long so they need to drive the lamps in push-pull mode.Never stop learning

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
Did you remove the inverter boards and reinstall them? There should be screws on one side of the board and clips on the other side. The service manual had the instructions on the lamp error reset after you reseat the boardsComment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
wow this is weird design i was wondering why at first reseating would've made any difference but now i can see why it's necessary and i found the instructions on resettingComment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
ok so i reseated the boards, then i performed the test for getting into the adjustment menu. i get a solid green power light and can hear the tv poweringup. the backlight is on for about half a second then goes out. shortly after the power light goes back to repeated green blinking. At this point i'm assuming this means one of the inverter boards is bad or if i'm really unlucky one of the lights themselves. what would be the next step? i feel like trying to measure voltages with this won't be easy with this weird diagnostic setup.Comment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
Normally i would check voltages going from the power supply ot the inverter but when it's stuck in diagnostic mode i doubt i'll get accurate results. anyone else have any thoughts?Comment

Re: Sharp LC-52D85U Won't turn on
there was a simillar tv a sharp lc-32 where they had the same issue but overwrote a capacitor which controlled the diagnostics. which seemd to temporarily fix the problem. i doubt the power supply in mine is the same as the one i found. anyone know anything about that?Comment

by JunkmanJimboSharp lc-55p6000u won't turn on. The standby light is on but nothing happens when the power button on the tv or remote is pushed. I'm thinking this is a main board issue but they are expensive. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to repair the main board I have. There is a repair service on Ebay but they're also expensive. Since there's a repair service for this main board I was hoping somebody could help me with the repair. The main board part number is 221999. Thanks!!...

by pajdekHello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. So i thought maybe lcd stripe is faulty, i removed the bottom cover, disconnected main battery, reset the cmos by disconnecting battery for 1 min, then slighty move the lcd stripe. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

by Egidio85hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.
the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.
reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.
now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.
to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)

by MitikeHello guys,
I have SHARP LC-70UC30U which won't turn on and the stand by LED blinks the 1 LONG 1 SHORT error
According to other sharp SM-s it is lamp error (I can't find SM for this model)
And yes I checked other blink error threads on the forum about other Sharp models and still can't make it work.
If I unplug the set and hold the POWER and INPUT buttons while I'm plug it back the set fires up and shows sharp logo and after that the Android logo and turn itself off again and starts the blinking and wont turn on again except if I do the RESET procedure again.... -
by RdeveLabsTo all the members here...
Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.
So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But... - Loading...
