So the board arrived this morning! I replaced the old one and the TV is back up and working!
Thank you both for your help on this, I had assumed my TV couldn't be repaired! Its fairly simple as well, as long as you get the right parts.
Can I ask if it's possible to determine whats wrong with the old one, can you test the various components in some way?Comment

Thats great news the replacement board ixed the issue.
Reagding ficing the other board my guess as it would not take the fimware/software update one of the ics is faulty so may not be cost effective for you trying to repair it if you have not got the replacement ics/hot air station, solder/flux etc etc .Comment

Good morning, sorry me again. Same tv, similar issue.
Probably about a few weeks ago the TV seems to be locked up in a boot cycle. It turns on, no sound and then turns off and starts the whole cycle again. I've opened up the. back and can see the backlights turning on. Its funny though as when I disconnect the two straps connecting the left hard board (as you look on the back of the TV), the boot cycle stops and it does turn on and I can hear the boot up sound, however no video?
Any thoughts, any help would be greatly appreciated.Attached FilesComment

I'm trying to fix this laptop screen
Basically the owner is a computer shop and they brought it to me with two screens. They said the repair shop they use could not fix it, so I thought i would try to see if I am better than their current repairer!
OK so I have the original screen which works but has lines across the bottom quarter of the screen

Hi I am new to this kind of repairs but I want to learn..I have a Samsung UN65JS8500F. the TV used to work and I tried to fix darker areas in the middle only ( img 1,2,3). I thought the led strip were bad..not the case. I did not research in advance what kind and where the LED were located. In this model they are located vertically on right and left side. Took the TV apart and put it back together. Now the tv shows no welcome screen and no sound is available thru the speakers. ..just a black screen..Backlight LED do turn on...also noticed a 5 blink code , not sure if that was there before. Samsung UE55JU6800K with no image on screen.
I have had this TV many years without fault, however aprox 6 months ago I fitted a new set of backlights as some of the lens caps had fallen off.
Was working fine, until 3 days ago, when watching TV the screen just went blank (still illuminated)
I turned the TV off and left it around 12 hours, and when turned it on again it seemed to work perfectly again. After around 45 mins the screen went blank again.
Left it off overnight and turned it on, and the Smart TV logo came on as normal, then screen went blank.

Hi it looks like everything works don't know where to test except the 390v in the 2 capacitor in the hot side of the power supply and the weird 180v in the diodes in the cold side that should be discharged it is writin on the circuit no more you can read what is written on the circuit quite srrange color mixiing yellow and white
anyhow i couldn't t read anything else
the backlight is on strong and the screen does not get dark or very dark but no pictures
the mainborad feels a bit hott on the black part i test it to 52 degree's against 34 to 40 on the rest of it

Hey guys
I got this TV from my friend and he said that one day he was trying to power it on it was just dead.
I did open the back of the TV and check the boards and cable connections and everything seems ok (no popped caps or anything visible).
I tried to turn it on few times and when I plug it in it flashes "Smart TV" logo and goes dark for about 20 seconds (no backlight yet) and after that the backlights are lit but no picture and didn't give any startup sound, sometimes it didn't start up but did show the standby led only and every time I pushed power...
