    SAMSUNG UE40JU6000K thin vertical line.

    Hi guys,
hope everyone is coping with this crisis.
Has anyone ever seen this particular issue shown n the photo.?
Very thin vertical yellow line just off centre of the screen.
I have disconnected both lvds cables and cleaned and reseated,,no change.
What could cause this. Could the panel be cracked internally?

ps. is there an issue with iploading photos.? Cannot seem to.

Did you use attachment function in the Go Advanced to attach the picture?

      Hi Bud,
I cannot find this Go Advanced option anywhere.
I click on manage attachments, choose the file and click upload..The page then turns white and does nothing.

Possible tab bond issue or a bad cap in the lower drive boards attached to the panel. You'll have to remove the back and the driver board covers on the bottom and inspect the ribbon cables for corrosion. You'll need a multi meter to check the caps but some will be in parallel so you'll need to remove them one by one to find a short. These are small caps so you will need a good degree of soldering experience.

Did you try cleaning the ribbon cables going from tcon to panel? Some use a pencil eraser, gently they can be delicate, might be a loose tab bond as mentioned.

Some have had success with the "cutoff tape" method with vertical lines.

                          by cubytus
                          Hi to all,

I was given this TV, an entry-level 4K 50" set. Some have criticized its lack of contrast and relatively poor colour rendering, but for my needs, it's very decent.

I reset everything to factory settings, but this line keeps on fading in and out when watching a streaming channel from the Tizen firmware. Interestingly, it only happens when TV is warm, after about 1h45 of it being turned on.

Watching a movie from an external source doesn't trigger the line as easily (needs 2 hours), and from a normal viewing distance, is hardly noticeable. It...

Samsung UE58TU7100K - no picture, vertical line
                          by mrsith
                          Hi.

Got UE58TU7100K with no picture - backlight comes on though. Figured out that's a perfect candidate for cut tape method.

This model has just one LVDS tape coming off main board - and two panel boards underneath the LCD screen are connected to each other via small tape. Like curved screens. I've tried to disconnect half of the screen (5he side without LVDS connector on it, obviously), no joy.

Disconnected the tape (main board side). Applied a small piece of tape, covering first ~4-5 pins. Powered the TV on - got picture. In negative, but that's...

good evening!!! I have this tv with a line that occupies 1 or 2 pixels in width. it has a solution? Can you do a test to find out if it's a panel or something else? Having the tcon integrated into the panel makes everything difficult. I have pushed on the flex attached to the panel, on both sides and there are no changes. I don't know what else I can do... the integrated ones that go on the flex get hot, but without burning yourself if you put your finger on it. to see if someone can help me. I attached a detail photo of the line. Thanks in advance...
