Cannot tune channels on LG 42LN540V

    Hi all,

After a house move, our 42LN540V cannot autotune antenna channels. 0 programmes are found.

The control board had very visible damage to the antenna port, so I swapped it out with a new (used) board. Unfortunately, the issue persists. I've checked the cables with a multimeter and they seem to be OK with no shorts present.

I've tried two different antenna sockets in the new place and neither work. Short of the roof antenna being knackered, I'm not sure what to do here - is there any way to check the antenna socket with a multimeter?

    Thanks,

Maybe try a factory reset, if no go try a firmware update, does the tv work on other sources like an hdmi or component etc?

Have tried a factory reset (will have been reset with the new control board too) and no joy. Will try an update later. I bought a cheap crappy indoor aerial and still get no channels either so I'm at a loss here. HDMI and everything else is working fine.

Solved, it is the roof antenna. The cheapo indoor antenna didn't work at first, but I dangled it out of the window on the other side of the house and it picked up a few channels. Thanks all.

            Single-channel antenna?
            by Hondaman
Recently I switched from my Gray-Hoverman to the Antennas Direct ClearStream 4 MAX. Seems to work about as well as the old G-H in my attic (one-story ranch home), but the Antennas Direct unit can be mounted outside on my chimney if desired.

I should mention that I was also using a 29-inch "T" shaped antenna for RF channel 11. I know you're not supposed to use TWO antennas unless they have the same length coaxial cable going into your combiner (and even then there might be problems). So I made sure the cables were equal length.

            Years ago I made a "T"...

            Hitachi V19B01922 Channel Tune problem
            by dicky96
            Hi Guys
I have a customer who has two Hitachi TVs in his bar, one is the model in the thread title and the other is a larger screen but has the same setup menu

He also has an LG TV, so three screens in the bar

            I installed three Satlink ST-6503 DVB-T Modulators
            This model https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32916553905.html

These connect to three satellite receivers via HDMI cables and then connect to a 4 way RF Amp that connects to the TVs on aerial cable. There is no incoming terrestrial antenna. I set the channel ID on the modulators to...

            Altec PC410 Auto PID Tune
            by VaNDAL_UK
            Hi,

Anyone know how to get the Altech PC410 to initiate a P.I.D Tune?

I can see the option, turn it on and it just flashed "tune" but nothing happens. Even tried running a profile after selecting tune.

I remember doing it years ago on another machine but for the life of me I can't work it out this time.

            TIA.

Harmon Kardon AVR340 no sound on 4 channels
            by r2digital
Hello, i had this amp sitting in the closet knowing that none of the channels were working. After taking it all apart i found 4 bulging main filter caps so i went ahead and replaced those with low ESR kmet caps. However after doing this it only restored sound to Surround L, Surround R, and Center channel. The main speaker fuse on the transformer F905/F906 keeps blowing so i decided to remove all of the transistor's on those 4 channels and measure them. All transistors appear to be in good working order(turned receiver on with none of them installed and fuse still blows). Checked dual emitter resistors...
