Panasonic (TC-50LE64) LCD tv turn on bright then dims

Hello all badcaps!

New member here, thank you all for allowing me join this forum.

I have a pickle with my tv

The whole screen turns on with a bright blue background, then after around 10 secs or so, it dims to a dark/faint dark blue.

No logo/words on screen.

Any ideas as to what's causing this?

It's a Panasonic LCD tv, model number: TC-50LE64

Your zip code means you don't have to mess around with it, it's not worth possibly getting shocked, there are lethal voltages on the powerboards HOT side.

Any ideas as to what's causing this? I'd just buy the replacement part(s), if possible, and install it.

These Panasonics have a self test option in the menu. Run it. Check that the latest firmware is on it. Do a factory reset and see if that helps.
