Thanks a lot for the video. I inspected all my pins as in the video and all of mine are good and has a solid connection. My issue may be a little different. Only on closer inspection under the scope inside the top memory slot. I notice 1 pin is damaged. On both boards in the top slot 1 pin is kinda damaged. Really difficult to repair. Got nothing to lose will try to fix it and maybe see how that goes. But i'm just glad to at least know what the problem is with both boards. -
Okay so thought I’d post how the issue was kinda solved think it might help someone.i read on the forum where someone had a similar issue and piernov mentioned that it can be a ram issue with these model boards..So I decided to try the other ram slot and low and behold the vcore dropped too 0.8v and it posted with picture. Both boards are posting now with the ram in the second slot .I tried cleaning out the first slot but that slot refuses to work on both boards.So will leave it at that for now.Just glad both boards are working. Macbook Pro 2012 CPU Vcore Present No Post
Hi guys hoping you can help me solve this issue. I have 3x 820-3115 boards. One fully working with CPU Vcore 0.8v and posting which am using to compare against the other 2...The other 2 has CPU Vcore stuck at 1.12v and doesn't drop down to 0.8v.
PPBUS_G3H is 8.56v and all other rails present. They both do not post or give picture and no caps lock. Hoping anyone may have experience with this and advise me on a few things to try. So far the only thing i tried was a few different bios for this board and nothing changed same behavior persists I have the original backups saved.Thx... -

Okay guys i just thought i'd report back on how I solved the problem. The corrosion did indeed corroded off 1 out of the 2 resistors and also the 19v pad. It was indeed a voltage divider for the EN1 or enable pin that takes 19v and break it down via the 2 resistors down to about 4.8V.I was able to find the same 3V IC ( Silergy SY8386BRHC ) in another schematic and look at it's layout and was able to see the two resistors and it's correct values. So i found the 2x resistors 150K and 499K on a MacBook donor board and I put them in on the HP 14 board and Immediately got the White led on the DC Jack...

HP 14-dq2088wm 11th Gen Missing 3V/5V Standby Voltage
Hi guys have a HP 14 Labtop. DA0PAHMB8F0 .There is no White LED on the DC Jack .It got a drop of water damage right next to the 3V IC ( Silergy SY8386BRHC) and corroded a resistor and a pad which belongs to the Enable for the IC. I cleaned the area and re-soldered the resistor. Nothing Changed. I don't know what the value for the resistor should be.It measures about 80.0K No schematics available for this model. A good friend on here mon2 helped me identify the IC markings and gave good advice on making sure to measure the input voltages and enables and checking for short.

Macbook Air 2015 Booting Very Slow and Stuck on apple Logo 99%
Hi guys i have my personal MacBook Pro 2015 820-00165 board that was working fine for more than a year and one day stopped working on my original Magsafe charger. It was turning on with my bench power supply. Opened it up and while diagnosing that somehow i ended up with a shorted smc.The line which was shorted was SMC_PM_G2_EN. I removed the SMC and short was gone. So all I had was another working donor board 820-3435 which i used to program it's SMC to 820-00165 using the SMCTOOL By MuertoGB.Took that SMC and use it on my 820-00165 board .And my board started working again. PPBUS_G3H 8.56V.... -

Samsung S20 Ultra Charging Stopped Phone Overheating
Hi guys i have a Samsung S20 ultra (SM-G988U) whenever i plug in my charger it throws a Charging Stopped because phone is overheating and it makes a beeping noise. I have seen that there is a [B]THERMISTOR[/B] on the sub board for the charging port and if this is broken or loose in any way the CPU will think something is wrong with the port and throw the error. This happened to me after i was reflowing the tuner IC's on the suboard trying to repair a no service half airplane mode issue I was having. I have already ordered a replacement port and a flex cable. But it will take 2 weeks to arrive... -

Thanks for the reply my friend. You were right the mosfets are indeed compatible. Because its doing the same thing. Shutting off a few seconds after power on.First thing i did was a bios flash.Same issue.Then did the mosfets swap and same issue.So as u mentioned maybe the APU is dying.So will give up on this one.Thanks again.Leave a comment:

Hi guys have an issue with a friends labtop that has no signs of liquid damage.They said it just stopped turning on.When i press the power button it turns on normally like 35-500millamp draw and it posts and i have picture. But like after 4 seconds after it posts an image it shuts off completely.If i press power button again same thing happens. Did all basic troubleshooting with the motherboard like fresh thermal paste with it completely out the chasis with battery disconnected. Thermal camera shows these two mosfets heating up more than anything else when i press the power button.I have provided... -

Macbook Pro A1708 not detecting SSD
Hi guys have a 820-00840 board here that isn't detecting the SSD. Already did all the basic troubleshooting like swapping ssds and all that. The board came to me bent right around where the CPU IC is located as shown in the picture. There was a shorted cap on PP5V_S4 changed it and Also replaced the CPU IC as it seemed to have gotten dislodged where the bend was. And board started working okay and booting with Question Mark folder ofcourse. If i press the ssd connector down hard sometimes I will get it to detect the ssd and it will boot into MacOS. I am thinking if maybe a trace within the layers... -

Onkyo HT-R960 No Sound
Hi guys hope you all doing fine.I have an Onkyo HT-R960 from my uncle that he says he powered it on one day and no sound at all.I took it to try and repair it.I am also using it as an opportunity to start learning how to repair units like these and also amplifiers. When i first brought it home I also realized it wasn't outputting any video and audio tru the HDMI Ports.So followed a youtube video on how to change 5 caps to get HDMI output back.Did exactly that and now i have Picture tru the HDMI Ports.But still no audio. Checked a lot of voltages according to the schematic and also visually nothing... -

thanks for the troubleshooting guide.The status light isn't flashing and the lamp light is just plain off. I opened the lamp and am not seeing any signs of burnt markings or it being broken.So i think it's safe to assume the Lamp proably just reached end of life.So i will get a replacement and see how it goes from there. Epson VS250 Projector Lamp Not Working.
Hi guys gooday i have a Epson VS250 Projector that turns on and is also being recognized and detected by the computer when i plug the hdmi cable.The only issue the projector lamp is not working .Are these lamps repairable ? Okay pal thanks a lot for the hack.It definitely works but well The board boots up I get CPU_VCORE . The boards stays on for like 8 seconds then goes off then back on and stays on for 8 seconds then goes off and stays stuck at 20 milliamps. One weird thing is i don't get fan spin. swapped fans but same. Possible there is something wrong elsewhere as well? Thinking i should not go further till i get a good SMC. lol
