regard to SM attached by dilf. your are now at BGA issue at CPU. put tape on the cpu tightly and use heat GUN to cook it. hopefully it will work if you dont have reball or BGA station
just warmed mainboard using a hairdriver and tv powered up to a good picture, however before i could get remote to do a factory reset it powered off
Now thinking nothing to loose maybe worth sticking mainboard in the oven for ten minutes
THIS makes me think it might be a bad cap or something, where did you heat it to get that result?
Re nomoresonys,THIS makes me think it might be a bad cap or something, where did you heat it to get that result?
I baked mainboard in oven 220c 10 minutes
my searching on google seems to suggest 1 fast 3 slow is powerboard, but my previous 3 blinks prior to baking suggests mainboard problem
Was wondering which part you heated with the hairdryer to make it work for a minute, may have been a certain capacitor that got back it's low esr when the heat was applied??
No I played the heat gun all over the main board just to warm it in general, but it did come back to life even though it was for only a short time.
But it did also come back to life when I used the freeze spray on the main board, again only for a minute or so
Can not get it on now just got the 1 fast 3 slow blinks of the led
The initial 3 flashes and the use of freeze spray/heat to boot it suggests it was an eeprom issue.
Your new flash error suggests you've unsettled the BGA under the processor(hopefully).
