Philips 43PUT4900/12 Stuck in Colour Test

Happy Christmas to those that celebrate.

Can anyone help me with this one please?
I have a Philips 43PUT4900/12 that is stuck in a colour test mode. When powered on, it cycles between red - green - blue - black - white.

I've tried the following from the service manual which didn't work:

    How to Exit SDM
    • Switch the set to Stand-by, by pressing the standby button
on the remote control transmitter or on the television set.
    • Via a standard customer RC-transmitter: key
    in “00”-sequence.

    Here's the service manual:

    Many thanks

Ok just tried a software update and it wouldn't run, just continues cycling colours. I'll probably just order a new board next week.
        Thanks

This might be your board, probably need to match up the numbers on the white sticker with your sticker. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Phillips-...0cM:rk:13:pf:0

on the main boards you have 2 points listed as SDM, make them short ans start the tv, then turn yours tv out, release the short you did before.. itmay help to bring the eeprom out from sdm mode

Ok, I see where the one I posted says 49, might want to go with the 43 to be safe, not sure if they interchange.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

your picture not clear. did you check the downside oh MB. if this set didn't listed SDM or SAM or CSM on MB, you still have service port CN410 , use USB to TTL 3.3V the middle are ground and other tow RX and TX , with command you can do allot..also this set with MT chip, on xda developer there are MT tools to play around this MT chip

Hi, if this "Burning mode" is come on for a settings memory problem (maybe a transient at input) then try to reset it, the modes vary, the simplest way is to try to short circ. the eeprom chip at pins 5,6 when you plug power cord, wait 5 sec then release, first you have to locate it, its the bigger eeprom in capacity size, always a 8 pin ic, this method don't always work, probably there are other combinations like pulling high SCL or SDA or both pins (5 & 6) i.e. SCL+VCC, SDA+VCC or SCL+SDA+VCC at the power cord plug in. The other method to buy a cheap CH341A programmer with clip and erase the chip then power on tv. Sometimes the default eeprom content can be extracted from the update file unless it is compressed, but needs a little study. Last, i don't think entering SDM mode can vary the defect..

Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to...

                                    Hi friends,

TV has stuck at - as I googled the term - color test mode. Slowly flashing colors white, red, green, blue, black, over and over again. I also tried factory reset for Sharp TVs => "while holding vol– & input buttons on tv plug in set when “k” appears push vol– & chan- " , but TV doesn't even start during buttons pressed.
So I decided to flash new firmware to SPI ROM. What do you say, would it help? If so, where can I find some dump? I was unable to find...

                                    Hello
I have power adaptor(220V/input, 12V 1.2A/output) which has symptom of fluctuating output DC voltage between 11.5V-12.2V.
So I opened its plastic case and when switched it on, I heard constant tik tik sound from inside its PCB.
I measured DC voltage between negative and positive pin of the largest capacitor(400v 10uf) and it was measured contant 300V.
I also measured ESR value of all capacitors and I noticed that one of capacitor(KMG 16v 470uf), which located in the secondary side, have high ESR value(10 ohm),So I replaced it with same specification NXH capacitor....
