    Hisense stuck in Colors cycle like test pattern.

    Hello,

    I accidentally changed the project ID in the service menu of my Vidaa Hisense 100U7KQ TV. When I turn on the TV, the screen displays an RGB color cycle (test mode???). I contacted Hisense, and they sent me a usb_MTK_9618.EU.bin file, but it doesn't work. I can see that the USB drive is being read, and it flashes for about 10 minutes (the screen remains in the color cycle during the firmware reading), then the TV turns off and restarts, but still in the color cycle mode.

    I want to mention that the 4GB USB is formatted in FAT32 MBR. I've also renamed the file to pkg, forcedupgrade.bin, Mstarupgrade.bin, loader, etc. I followed the repair guide for Hisense MTK9618, but it still doesn't work.

    Do you know any tips to regain access to the factory menu?

    it sound yours TV still at service menu....put the TV in standby .. then unplug it from wall... wait 1 minute then plug it again in wall,,

    if this didnt help flash firmware again compleete... you can find at hisense FTP under 55 size yours model

          did you played with LVDS cable? if you did then you may damaged pins.. when LVDS had short contact of pins screen go to RGB.
          about the firmware... call yours local Hisense and give them yours TV serial No and the HSSO number they will give you link on recovery firmware.

            I have never opened the TV. I do have the serial number, but there is no HSSO number on the label, nor on the back of the TV. I have already called Hisense, and they sent me the firmware usb_mtk9618_EU.bin.

                  so the firmware should be as they send to you .bin. but yours PC be sure the file extension can be viewed to avoid written double .bin.bin

                  plug tv out from wall and put the usb stick at USB 1 . press power on the RC while you pressing plug the tv in wall... the upgrade will show

                    I have already tried these various methods, the update never appears on the screen. However, the firmware is installed on the TV because the key is read by the TV (it flashes). Then after about ten minutes the television stops and starts again.

                      then don't do it any more..its written .. you need to open it to see if there way we can reset it

                            if no more guaranties., you can do it in blind way to inter service menu again ... project id are under design watch this movie and do it step by step with yours RC in blind way

                                i think yours mainboards all in one. mean the power boards on it too ... if it so then will not work because of the LED backlight.. you need first to open and take look

                                    yes it work. but afraid you need to inter the service menu again LOL

                                    try connect the TV with LAN cable to yours router. and be sure it got ip in router.... call you tube or netflix.or any app you have on RC. hope one app will come on so you navigate the menu

                                        Cela ne fonctionne pas, c est une tv qui a été acheté d occasion et qui n est plus garantie.
                                        Quand j aurais un moment, je l ouvrirais pour prendre la reference de la mainboard.

                                          Bonjour.

                                          Bonnes nouvelles. J ai laissé le téléviseur débranché toute une nuit. Et ce matin la Tv a redémarrée normalement. Je suis retournée dans le menu service et tout était OK. Du coup Je pense que je n avais pas modifier les paramètre mais que la Tv a buggé. En 6 mois de service, je n avais jamais rencontré de probléme avec ma Tv.
