    UN40H6203AFXZA not turning on

Have this TV in for a client. Plug it in, standby light blinks 3-4 times, thats it. TCon LEDs light up. Oringinally thought it was the main board. Bought one used on ebay, looked sketchy out of the box, real dirty, etc. Plugged it in, standby comes on steady, but just starts blinking after hitting power button. TCon LEDs never come on. Put original main back in and start looking at power board. Okay, so with main board disconnected and LED connected, I get 177VDC on D1+, 0VDC on D2+ and D3+. Unplug LED, same readings. LED connected, 15MOhm on D1+, 0 on D2+ and D3+. Unplug LED, D1+ starts at about 15MOhm and then slowly starts dropping, D2+/D3+ remain at 0. Shouldn't all the D+ pins read the same? Backlights them selves never seem to turn on. I do have 13V on main board pin out.

    Bad power board? LED short?

Similar model. If your LEDs sre good and not turning on, likely bad PS board.

You have an open led string in the panel. The D+ are not connected together, D2+ and D1- are connected together, D3+ and D2- are connected together. so one of the strings are open.

I just got an LED tester. On this one, if I use the tester directly on the LED plug, would I need to do put the probes on D2+ to D1- and D3+ to D2-? What about D1+, would I do negative probe to ground?

If you looked at my other post, the pics show how I used an LED tester to check the voltage on the three strips. The tester should indicate the voltage through the strip as shown in the pic. You can access the strips from the back by disconnecting the plug from the power supply and there should be black/white pairs to each strip. Black is ground and white is positive. The voltage reading should give you an indication if you have a problem or not. You should be getting 39V on top and bottom strips and 36V on the middle strip (one less LED). My other post also provide a voltage reference for a working backlight.

Testing LED stings with LED tester:
            1) Remove female LED connector from the power supply board so you can test each LED string connected to the female connector.
            2) Testing LED string #1: Put red probe on D1 + (pin1), Black probe on D1 - (pin 5).
            3) Testing LED string #2: Put red probe on D2 + (pin 2), Black probe on D2 - (pin 6).
            2) Testing LED string #3: Put red probe on D3 + (pin 3), Black probe on D3 - (pin 7).

Based on your reading on post #1, you have open circuit in the string #1 and that is why the D1 + went up over 170V.
The three LED strings are connected in series to form one large string.

Problem with PANASONIC CF53 laptop after changing BIOS settings
              by AquaMan Ua
Hello. I am asking you for a hint on how to solve the problem with my touchbook Panasonic CF53-2 standart model. After setting up the BIOS, the laptop displays the wrong image until Windows loads. (More precisely, it displays, but distorted, instead of the Panasonic image immediately after turning it on, it displays what is in photo #1 in the attached file) Then the image appears when Windows starts loading and then there are no problems with the screen until the reboot. If you enter the BIOS, just a black screen. If you connect an external screen, the image on it is the same as on the built-in...

              LG OLE65C1 Stand-By issue
              by Titus6
              Hello everyone,

I bought an OLED65C1 refurbished TV back in 2022 from a shop. The TV is awesome, this is my first OLED and I really love it.

However I have an issue with the TV since the end of last year. I noticed when my TV is in Stand-By, sometimes the LED goes off then comes back on. When do so it seem periodical. It only goes away for 1-2 seconds, than comes back on. The TV NEVER turnes off, while it's on, so it's not overheating issue or electrical power issue.

I bought a service remote (MKJ39170828) and checked the menu 3. Power On/Off Status. I took...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
              by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

              Assuming...

ASUS GU502GV not powering on - 1285A hot
              by yayayee
              Hello,

I have a laptop that isn't turning on. When I disassemble it and plug in the power connector with the pcb by itself, I can see with a thermal camera I bought that TPS51285A is the only thing getting hot.

So of course, the first thing I do is google the laptop model and the IC, and it just happens that I stumble upon a video by Northridgefix attempting to repair the exact same problem, only for it to catch on fire.

I thought that maybe I'd be lucky so I bought a 1285A, that came in as a 1285B. The only difference I can see between them is that the 1285B...

Hello, Badcaps is my last resort. I am the first owner of the monitor. I reached almost every repair store in my area, but no one even wanted to hear about troubleshooting an old CRT monitor. At this point, I have been trying to figure it out by myself, but I have no idea where to start or look for.

I wish to know how to think and locate a failing component. I will put all my efforts to learn and contribute.
              1. It started with a bright and greenish picture upon starting a cold monitor.
