Yes you can buy it and use it if it worth over 100$ a year and you know you have enough people who will pay for battery
Our country is poor, most of the laptops come with compleatly dead battery or no battery at all ....
Sorry, you are right i missread the lines and i thought that 2.5v line has 5-6 ohms, but indeed it is 3.3v if we understand right.
So our advise is continue to remove shorted components from the 3.3v line until it rises to normal....
Thanks i have already done it, When i get home i check if this battery chip is compatible with the ev2400. Maybe i give it a try and let you know the result...
I have this ASUS tuf laptop that had a shorted GPU mosfet repaired but since the short pulled suddely 6 amps from battery and if went to locked state.
The cells are ok Voltages are above avarage and the heated fuse also not blown.
The problem is that battery still not gives out voltage.
I cannot spend 445 Dollars on an NLBA just to unlock 1 battery. Is there any reset I can perform, or any cheaper solution for unlocking or alternativly should i jump the 2 mosfets?
Sound like your usb-c PD controller is acting wierd.
Try measuring the voltages on the input mosfets gate and drain when the USB meter shows restarting.
Is your battery really charging or just the led indicator is lighting up?...
1. Do not worry about GPU, if GPU mosfets are not shorted you have nothing to do with that.
2. Remove all heatsink and pci components like SSD and WIFI .
Now that you have removed U60400....
inject 0.9v on the 2.5v rail and see what is getting hot and what is the Amp draw?...
MORE INFO:
Windows installer 10 and 11 will still freeze on load if the charger connected but after every driver is installed then the problem does not occur anymore.
I think i will ask HP about a permanent solution because I suspect we need to integrate some driver into windows installer to prevent this error.
Have a nice day guys
REASON of WHEA:
I have diassembled and repaded and repasted CPU and GPU when the laptop camo to me because the heatsink was destroyed and i needed to repair it.
Durring repasting CPU I only did it under simple magnifier (as I have done it 100 times before)
Now I have rechecked it and there was a tiny stoned residue (abouth 1mm and it was probably from previous paste dryed and build up)
I carefully scaped it away and repasted cpu core and BUMM. Laptop started as it should and even CPU temp with turbo is under...
1. Repasted CPU ang GPU and did a full thermal pad replacement, not temprerture maxes in 89 celsius after 30 minutes of stress test cpu and gpu together
2. More info about trying to start windows by disabling GPU in windows device manager: it works until 2-3 restarts then if freezes just like when charger connected.
The only thing working is that disconnecting charger while windows boots then reconnecting it.
Whea still exists and windows cannot even tell what is the actual problem.
I have tryed to reflow the chip and cleaned everything multiple times. Now KSO3 has 0V others has 3.3V.
Also no I have 5v on one of the test points that is next to the ec chip (TPJNC13)
But programmer instantly saying there is nothing on the other side (not waiting like usually when power is not yet plugged in)
Also tryed both of this configurations but no change (noticed that 2 sequence of EC programming is hanging around on the net for ms-16r61 )
1. original programmer file contains this:
MS-16R61 KB_pins=30 RIGHT UP 05MM KSO3=27 KSI4=11 KSI7=14 KSI6=13...
Actualy r3 is a lot different then r6.
EC is BGA instead of regular sided and around PCH and EC there is a lot of component.
If anyone has an ms-16r6 then please share.
MS-16R61 Rev 2.0 EC not responding after repacement
Hello adventurers
I have this board and it came from a friend with a shorted EC.
I have ordered a new one and replaced it.
Now i have 4 Milliamps draw on pluging
3VALW and 5VALW present (i know nothing about RSMRST and ECRST because web only has boardview for 16r3 and this modell looks competly different)
For EC flash i need KSO3 KSI4 KSI7 KSI6 KSI5. These are all 3.3v EXCEPT KSO3 is 2.2V
I have checked the FFC cable connections and they are OK.
I have removed and Reballed the IC again, but no change.
Do you have idea why EC not responding...
