What do you suggest then, should I measure the voltages on the PSU?

      1) Nope, the T-CON is getting the 12V for it to run but the switching power supplies on the T-CON are not running. Where did you get the new T-CON board from?
      2) Put all the cables back in place and then check the RESISTANCE at the HVDD, AVDD, .... test point with ref to GND, no power to the TV pf course.

          1) Got it off of ebay.
          2) Everything connected, TV off, not plugged in, black lead on a screw on the side of the board. The resistance in the 2k ohm range for HAVDD is 1.767, AVDD 1.648, 1.1V .216, 2.5V .590, 3.3V .478, F1 1.903 on both sides, in the 200k range VON up to 105 then down to 95.5, 2M range VSS .546

"HAVDD is 1.767, AVDD 1.648" At 1767 Ohms and 1648 Ohms, they are not low Ohms to cause the missing HVADD (same as HVIN_12V), which should be 12v for feeding the AVDD Voltage (about 15 ~ 20V) boost converter.
You need to trac e out the HVADD so see if it goes to the switched MOSFET so you can verify if the switched MOSFET is being turned on or not, see schematic of typical T-CON schematic to use as a guide, the designators of the schematic will not match your board but the operation of the circuit is about the same.

Looking through this forum I cannot see anyone else with this issue and where to start pinpointing a problem.

I have this issue, even 11 years later 😝

It matters because you`re already getting help in the other thread as i said. Do you think @PedroBorges9 will reply,he hasn`t posted anything in over 18 months. You never mentioned a schematic in this thread, but i did see you had posted a request for it in the Desktop PC BIOS & Schematic Requests!forum ,so i moved it to the TV forum.

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                            by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

Help Needed: Samsung UE55MU8000 Dead - Possible Main Board Issue
                            by Asraf Atb
                            Hi everyone,

Im looking for some advice regarding my Samsung UE55MU8000 TV with main board model BN94-11606C. The TV suddenly stopped turning on and now shows no signs of life at all not even the standby light at the bottom.

Initially, I suspected an issue with the PSU, so I took it to a repair center. They tested it and confirmed that the PSU works perfectly, even on other TVs. Based on that, I started investigating the main board.

I disconnected the main board from the PSU, and the backlight turned on, which seems to confirm the main board is the issue....

Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

                            Samsung UN75RU8000FXZA bad main board?
                            by Lee M.
When plugged in it will click and cycle the BL on and off, no pic and does not respond to remote. When I disconnect the cable from the PS board to the main board and then plug it in the BL will come on and stay on. There are only two boards in this set, the LVDS cables from the panel driver boards connect directly to the main board. Since the BL comes on and stays on I'm thinking the PS board is ok and the problem is on the main board. Should I order another main board or do I need to do more testing? thanks, Lee

Short answer: replace main board and power board
Technical answer: replace main board and Q306 & Q307 on power board.

                            Long answer:

TV wouldn't turn on. Power switch was fine which means the main board isn't processing the power on signal. Replaced main board. TV turns on now but randomly reboots. Bad main board? EEPROM? Tried to pull main board and got a shock touching the corner of the board. That's weird. C334 (450V 10uf) capacitor is still holding a high charge....
