Interesting. Looks like this is the chip. Crazy! it's just $1.35 !
      http://www.ebay.com/itm/1pc-of-New-A.../271948824333?

      Is that correct chip?
My current chip also says AS19-H1G *

I do not have any tools, and have never done this before? Will I be able to handle it ! if yes, what tools do i need.

        Yes, that's the chip.
There are several videos on youtube showing a couple of different ways to remove the chip (hot air/low melt solder) and replacement (the trickier part).
I would think you'd need a soldering iron, chipquik (its cheaper/a bit easier than hot air), solder, braid , flux and some kind of magnifying device. I also find a multimeter useful for checking for bridged pins.
I wonder if the cost of buying the tools is greater than a repair service or second hand board though. I guess it depends on future tool usage.

If your aim is to get your tv working I would replace t-con. It is not really repair for amateur. Lots of small parts around it.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

Thanks, I did a quick search and it looks like it will cost atleast 30-40 bucks to get started, and like you said depends on tool usage in future too.

Got carried away a little. This does seem like the best option! Looking for the best chip now. Will update once I get the board.

                PROBLEM SOLVED. Thanks guys!

Replaced the t-con board with the exact set from ebay (used) for $35.
I made sure part and board number are the same.
                Part Number : 35-D025860
                Board number: V520H1-C06

Replaced the board, turned on the TV, and did not have to do anything else. No reset or anything. Turned out to be an easy fix. Thanks everyone again!

You could try cutting your losses a bit by selling your old board on eBay. Just let buyers know what the problem was and that you didn't have the proper tools/skills to replace the chip.

yes, that's what I was thinking. Might get $10 out of it. Will also include the A19 chip I purchased but never used.

Here in the UK i just us a seller off ebay offering TCON repair ( they also do the AS19 I believe) so i presume there will be sellers in the US offering the same sort of service.
