for a 48 inch tv i think its worth the risk if its the same maybe just sell the board on may even make a little profit.

actually with wave forum measurement ( oscilloscope ) easy to find which ch of LVDS cause this and narrow it. however the MB of Samy can be edit too. i don't know if OP has logged before service mode there are many value can be shown for LVDS setting also EEPEOM RESET .

First thing I will do is put pressure on the mainboard to see if it does anything.

also maybe a little heat from a hair dryer etc as sometimes this helps show up faults

I've got a main board coming this week, £21 delivered. Couldn't really say no at the price. Hopefully it will be here Friday. Fingers crossed that it resolves my issue.

Fitted new board and still the same.... I will get a lvds cable at some point and try that. Not much else to change.

The lines have changed recently moved down the screen. Does that rule out the cable?

please post photo on this new issue... did it happen with your original main board?

BTW : the ribbon cable from T-CON to panel. you had only from T-CON side check it... you need to do the same from panel side to clean and reset.. but be careful that they may being dry so easy the pad pin broken.

It's the same kind of lines but just lower down the screen. The new tcon board came with the 2 ribbons so changed them to. I've put the original main board back in so these moved lines are from that board. Should I just get a replacement cable? Only board left to change is the power board.

well theres another board but its bonded too the lcd panel people have had issues with bad capacitors on that board too i doubt its a power supply problem though.

it could be noise from PWB.. or LVDS.. or also could be crazy panel too... LOL i am now more confused .. line going down, and now up etc.. repairing behind screen like gambling. so better to stop since i hate gambling .. sorry.

sorry just re read the thread i thought the lvds lead had been replaced but it hasnt it was the ribbon cables and didnt even think about noise from a psu supply causing this issue.

I will get l lvds cable when I know what spare cash I've got. I can of course sell all the bits I've bought as a job lot to make some money back.

i would suggest you don't buy any parts more.. sell back what did you bought ... and put the original parts and keep using it tell the fault became more to identical fault parts

                                  Hi guys

I just started fixing 4k TV few months ago. so I am still learning a lot
I got this tv from friend complaint is ghosting or horizontal lines on image.

never saw the original symptom but I took the tv back home. the funny part is that after bringing to home, the tv worked fine no issue for 3 weeks.
then it started to show the ghosting white image.
I started using the tape method, but this tv does not have a T con board and it has only 1 ribbon cable from main board to the tv panel.
it has 3 thin small boards at the bottom of the...

                                  Hello,

First of all I'm new here. While looking I found this amazing forum and I'm very happy I did. Now for my problem:

I picked up a Samsung UHD QLED QE50Q67TAU from 2021 for $50 knowing it was defective. The seller said it had black lines and that it could get stuck in boot randomly.

I've tried a new power cable, hard reset, opening up and jiggling all cables, pressing everywhere to see if I get a reaction but I've gotten nothing. I've tried the tape method but I've only managed to get the lines worse.

I'm no expert but I've done the tape...

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

I just acquired this 3D LED yesterday and it has horizontal lines on a little more than half of the screen. When I first turn it on it has thin black lines going across that makes the image look serrated, and then shortly after patterns of thicker red lines fade in. If I turn it off and right back on it will reset to just the black lines and the red will again fade onto the screen.

I initially thought tab bonds, but flexing the bezel makes no difference, and the fact the image sort of resets after cycling power is different. I haven't opened it up yet to actually test applying...
