Samsung ue48h6400 horizontal lines

I've got horizontal thin black lines starting on the left hand side top quarter. The lines seem to disappear the further right they go and only seem to be on the darker colours.

Any ideas of what could cause this?

most horizontal lines belong to T-CON fault and LVDS connection, start with clean LVDS and reset them.

Yeah, so clean the connections with isopropyl wipe? Just the cable or try to get in the block as well?

Is there anything on the tcon board which might show signs of the fault being there?

yes, clean LVDS from both side as well the socket of them at main board and T-CON as well

very hard to tell what it caused this on T-CON if the cleaning didn't help. almost there parts on it got Value change. replace from known source would be ideal tips to try.

Put more lines on it... so try to reseated the cable again? Does it at least mean it's the cable?

Can I fiddle about with the cables while it's turned on to see if I can get lines to change without damaging anything.

not good idea... lvds cable between main board and t-con or t-con and pnel ribbon cable are contain many pin. any pin could remove aside will probably make damage.

photo in the middle No2 if the clean and reset LVDS from T-CON to MB or the ribbon cable from T-CON to the panel didn't help, replace T-CON

Gave them all another clean nothing has changed same lines. Should I try the cable? Is it definitely the tcon? As the picture is perfect bar the line on the darker colours

I've ordered a replacement tcon board. If that doesn't sort the issue what else could it be? Panel?

No black horizontal line when there is a light coloured image. Would that discount panel?

don't play any more with your tv. wait till your order arrived and check end result.
