Vizio VF551XVT - amber logo lights but nothing else

The subject vizio set was working fine. Them the remote stopped working so I unplugged tv and pressed power button for 15 seconds as described by manufacturer to help in resetting the remote. After plugging tv back in, not only did remote still not work, the tv would not power on either. When I plug it in I hear a click and the amber logo lights but when I press power button, the vizio logo does not turn white like normal, no additional click is heard and no sound or picture is produced. See attached photos of all the boards. I also have checked various voltage regulators on the main board and here are the results:

    Pin 1=2.02

    U45

    Pin 1=2.0
    Pin 2=3.24
    Pin 3=5.09

From what I can, all these regulators look good.
Also I read 5 volts on the stand by pins on power supply board and also get the 18 and 24 volt readings as well.
Any thoughts on where else to check?

The connector on the power supply board that goes to the main board, we need the pin name follows by the dcv reading so we can see what are missing.

At this point, it does look like the main board problem, it is only sending out the PS-ON but no bl-on or dimming control signals.
The Vreg Voltages also look OK.
Do you get the 24vdc and 18vdc at the other connectors?

So I should have voltages on which pins....the SGND OR A,b or C. If so how much?

The other connectors with the 24VDC label, and the 18VDC label, you need to see if you have them or not.
                SGND is ground.
The 'A', 'B', and 'C' are the command signal pins for controlling the backjlights circuit board, they are around 3VDC TYP., most of the time they only use A and B only.
I cannot tell you where the problem is on the main board with out diagram, it is complex board.
You may want to contact shopjimmy to see what they suggest, it can also be that something is locking out the main board.

the EEPROM is located near the label with bar code and the small label with TV model number written on it.

I have troubleshooted this model Vizio a lot and when all voltage regulator are active like your, this tell me the CPU isn't functioning. most likely the CPU is fried. you can try replacing the EEPROM if you like. but don't get your hope up!!

In standby mode your +12 shouldn't be active and I know U6 shouldn't be active.

I guess if CPU is fried, I just need a new board?

EEPROM rarely fails on this board. Remove the silver heat sink from the board to reveal the BGA chip below. Then freeze it with freeze spray or upside down can of air. Then turn the TV on. You may see the TV turn on or at least start to initialize instead of not responding.

Thanks for your reply (nicks tv). If it turns on after freezing, does that verify a bad BGA chip?
Why is the replacement board so hard,if not impossible, to find. You hate to throw away an entire tv because of one part!

My Vizio M65-C1, Vizio logo appears for about 10 seconds then goes off.Power LED blinks 15 times then the TV powers down.

I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:

Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...

I just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After...

Vizio D32f-E1 Powers on, has backlight, won't boot/no logo, no menu or video

I have a Vizio D32f-E1 LCD TV that does NOT have a TCON board.

This TV recently went through some 'death throes' and now won't boot. The first problem that began to manifest was while watching tv, the screen would 'freeze', and the image would dim over a few seconds until it was very dark. HOWEVER, the audio of the show would continue as normal. I could power off the TV for 5-20 seconds, power back on, and the video would be normal. This would occur 1-3 times when the TV was first started, and would not happen again after the TV was 'warmed up'. Not ideal, but this glitch was manageable....

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                                    Assuming...
