Vizio V555-G1 stuck on wallpaper; now stuck on V logo

I just got this tv today and it's getting stuck on the wallpaper. When I first power it on it goes to the V logo, then a black screen for about 15 seconds, then a Chromecast error for just a few seconds, and then finally to a wallpaper. It stays frozen on this wallpaper and does not respond to anything on the remote besides power on/off. Likewise the buttons on the tv do nothing either (besides power). I did the "reset" by holding the volume down and input buttons together for 10 seconds. It showed a message at the top of the screen saying it was Wiping Data and would restart soon. After it restarted it went right back to the same error and then frozen wallpaper.
Attached are photos of the error and the wallpaper. I tried the reset several times and tried two different remotes. It doesn't respond to anything.

    Edit:
I plugged in a thumb drive with the latest update and nothing showed up on screen, so I left it alone for a couple hours. When I returned the tv was sick on the V logo and I could not power it off via button press. I unplugged it, held the power button, plugged it back in but it instantly powers itself on and gets stuck on the logo forever. I found a procedure to force a hard reset via pressing button combinations on the remote, but you have to start with the power off and NOW I can't this stupid thing to turn off without being unplugged! Looks to me like crippled firmware. It boggles my mind that they can push out updates that literally brick people's TVs and it's just okay. There has to be some way to force a reinstall of the firmware or downgrade it to something that works.

Perhaps the NAND or Flash is worn out.

Something to try: Unplug tv, press and hold power button on tv not remote for 30 seconds, leave tv unplugged for 15 minutes, plug it in, press and hold power til it comes on.

I did try this to no avail.. Plus, plugging it in instantly powers it on regardless of pressing or holding the power button. Before it would remain off when plugged in, so in that sense it was more "usable" I guess. Also, while stuck on the logo, holding Input and Volume Down does nothing. I'm wondering if trying to update the firmware caused this, or if it just naturally crashed and rebooted to this state because I left it on so long. Likewise I'm wondering if I was better off with it frozen on the wallpaper 🙁

I do think it's a NAND issue. I don't think this set has EEPROM because it's a smart tv. I'm going to try resetting a few more times later. If that don't work in gonna pull the board and heat up the BGA and NAND and see if that changes anything. A replacement isn't super expensive, but still not really cost effective.

I see, it may have been an update gone wrong, I always turn off auto updates, I assume you have all external devices unhooked while trying.

Yes nothing but power cord. I don't know what may have happened before I got it, but as of right now it looks corrupted.

I tried again this evening and still getting stuck on the V logo. I also tried plugging it in with the update drive plugged in for about an hour. Never did a thing

Vizio is horrible for doing updates for older sets in my experience so maybe not that. They are notorious for having bad cpu connections that break and need reball or reflow whatever you want to call it. I'd try that. Likely your problem (based off my small knowledge lol)

                    I will try this tonight!

EazyBone I was thinking of doing this as a last resort. I just got a new hot air station so I'm prepared!

The interesting thing tho is how it just powers itself on when plugged in. Would a BGA issue allow that to happen?

I tried last night and no change. Maybe I didn't get it hot enough. I might try again. I have nothing to lose

its not BGA issue... you need to tell the main SOC label if its MT or ST to know if its had issue caused by BGA.... its boot and you have BL... .. so show here yours SOC brand and the NAND/eMMC label and their circuits other wise you are toasting the MB with No reason

                              It is MT.

Something I have noticed is sometimes when I plug it in there will be part of what I'm guessing is a No Signal box at the bottom under the V. It will inch away like a No Signal box too until it's completely off screen never to return.

Edit: I can't find any parts or info as far as EEPROM or NAND for this exact tv. It appears I'm the only person who has ever had this problem with THIS model 🙄

Is there any way to short any pins on the chip to reset it? I really don't want to buy a board because its more than the tv is worth.

I don't know which chip is NAND. I have to try and get ahold of some freeze spray.

That would be the one at the bottom of the previous picture correct? It says Kingston. Looks like a blue dot to me. I looked it up and it's an eMMC
