LG 32lc46 solarized colors

Hello

I've got a 32LC46 which shows very weird colors.
the image is ok, no geometry issues.

Teh OSD seems to be ok.

I suspect the main board, but then it looks like there are many TV that uses the same board.
Some set of caps are available on the net to repair this boeard but not for the sames symptoms.
- any idea from where to start to try to save it.
- if we change the board, are they all the same.

it's a eax352314(0) ebr 41693001. which one is the relevant number ?

I would guess its the AS15 IC on the Tcon.

sorry for the long silence, but christmas time and other nice events have moved me away from the topic.

here's a picture of the screen showing what is suppôsed to be a horse (brown) in its stable made of wood (brown).
it's a computer image displayed via HDMI.

whatever the source , same issue. OSD panels have teh same issue (solarized colors).

I suspect the main board, but is the only option a full change or do we have another option ?

I would guess its the AS15 IC on the Tcon.

+1 First thoughts bad Tcon, faulty AS15 chip.

it seems that there is a global agreement on the AS15 chip, but looking at the t-com board, I can't find it.

here I've attached the service manual. could it be possible the IC1004 ?

Do you have the solarized picture irrespective of which input you are using, ie hdmi, rgb, composite etc ? If it's solarized on all inputs then it not likely to be that IC.

Post pictures of the circuit boards especially the one that has ribbons connected to the panel which will be under a metal shield.

I've tested with a VGA cable on the PC input, same color issue.
Do I have to test with a scart input (a old DVD player).

thats not the tcon the t con is usually under a metal cover on the right hand side of the mainboard in the picture theres 4 connectors on the right hand side the third one down if you follow that cable the tcon is on the other end of it if you need more help upload a picture showing the whole back of the tv then we can point it out.

Yes, under that metal cover with the 4 screws.

Hello everybody

got it. now I see it, the famous AS15.

here's the t-con.

now the question : is it for sure the T-Con and its AS15 that are creating this beautifull color scheme and then changing the as15 (could be tricky, i don't have the propore tool to unsolder it) or the complete T-Con can solve the problem?

if you cant swop the ic maybe buy another tcon there is a test you can do by measuring the various test points on the t con board too make sure it is faulty if you do buy another board make sure you get one with a returns policy as these boards have a high failure rate or maybe look for a ebay repair service. Notsure if you have any other bad caps members in your area whos willing too swop the ic for you?

you're advcies are welcome.
Not sure to have some badcaps members around with the same board, i'm in France.

"high failure rate", another weak componenet on the market. i would have noticed that when everuybody was pointing at the same AS15 component.

let's make some check on the board to be sure and or I buy some tools (that will be of use anyway later) or a new board.

Sorry i meant if a bad caps member would be willing to swop the ic for you if you purchased one as some members seem to be from france. and if you search the forum im sure theres some guides showing the test points you need to measure the voltage on.

This thread maybe worth a read same ic faulty also says what test points too check etc.

There are repair services offered on ebay, just search for TCON repair
