Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
I've recently repaired one of these with no backlight but it was not a led problem.
I'm sure ReeceyBurger123 had a video highlighting two capacitor to check for possible failure which led me to finding C525 faulty.
Here are the notes I made.
No led backlights.
PFC circuit not running. No VCC for U101 PFC controller (FAN7529). C525 low resistance / capacitance. Replaced the 1uF 50V. VCC now up to 10.5V. Min voltage needs to be 14.5V for PCF to run. Further checks found Q216 (BC327) with collector/base short circuit. Replaced BC327 and set now up and running.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
I'll check that out when I get to work but in my case, when the tv turns on, the backlight comes on for a split second then goes out and no image on tv; tv is NONE operational. Removing the led wire the tv IS operational, just no backlight. So something is making the tv NONE operational when the led wire is attached to the psu.I've recently repaired one of these with no backlight but it was not a led problem.

The fault is different to mine in as much as the set did power up but just no backlight so as ReeceyBurger123 says the leds would need to be checked out.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
Put it this way, the tv turns off but not standby light (red light). You have to plug the lead out the wall, put back in before you get the red light.
Im sure I wont check any strips lolFull-time computer repair tech (10am - 6pm) and full-time, (8am - 11pm), Ruby on Rails Developer

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
as im going through the threads on here one minute i feel i have an answer for my problem and then i feel more confused lol. My set stays on for 3mins then backlight shuts off, i can see image with torch. Some say its c525 or (c252). I changed for another spare 17ips20, however, no backlight came on, image with torch visable. The spare 17ips20 was a little different though. Im stuck, i dont want the risk of removing screen etc to test the backlights unless i really have too. Panasonic tx 55c400bComment

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
make sure the part numbers of the 17ips20 is a match as there is many different versions - part no is on the barcode starts as 23xxxxxx etcComment

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
'17ips20' is the blank circuit board P/N, the blank board can be stuffed hundred ways to make a bunch of the PCB assembly for the needed TV models, numbers on the bar code is for the PCB assembly that you need to match.Never stop learning

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
So with the original board in this morning tv is on for 6 mins before backlight shut off, leaving tv on visible with torch, and the second time back light shut off after 3 mins. Backlights do light up with led tester on main backlight socket. Something is making a little noise/ buzzing/ high pitchComment

Re: Polaroid P40LED13 powers up then shuts down
Turn the backlights down as low as you can (not the brightness) and see if they stay on longer or even remain on. If that's the case then it is looking like an led(s) problem.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

by riki_22Hi everyone,
I’m working on an ASUS B5402CEA notebook.
B5402CEA_MB_R2.2

REV:1B
The board powers on, fan spins for a few seconds, then it shuts down by itself.
I suspect the BIOS might be corrupted.
Could someone please check and clean (repair) the attached BIOS dump?
I’ve also attached a few photos of the motherboard for reference.
Thanks in advance for your help!

by Tony182Hello everyone, I received a PS3 console with the issue described in the title. I gradually measured the console (both the PSU and the motherboard) but couldn’t find anything—everything seems fine.
I planned to remove the casing and test whether the voltages appear on the coils, but after rewiring and turning the console on without the casing, the system actually booted, which blew my mind (it’s been seven days that I’ve been dealing with this). The processor started heating up, so I quickly turned the console off and tried reinstalling the heatsinks and turning it on again....1 Photo11-22-2025, 01:47 PM -
I have a Dell E5470 that powers up and boots windows no problem. Using a non-standard universal type charger, it shuts down immediately if moved, (power short in that charger or AC power jack) because the battery has no charge and isn't charging orange/white lights blinking on the front. When first powered up, BIOS power alarm stated that it could not detect the voltage setting and I had to dis-able the message to get past this. It got into Windows fine, as long as not moved, so I dis-assembled it looking for a cold solder joint on the power jack that I thought might be lifting off the MB, but...

Hi guys have an issue with a friends labtop that has no signs of liquid damage. They said it just stopped turning on.When i press the power button it turns on normally like 35-500millamp draw and it posts and i have picture. But like after 4 seconds after it posts an image it shuts off completely. If i press power button again same thing happens. Did all basic troubleshooting with the motherboard like fresh thermal paste with it completely out the chasis with battery disconnected. Thermal camera shows these two mosfets heating up more than anything else when i press the power button.I have provided...

I've got a Dell Latitude 5580 which came in for no power. It's not exactly a no power issue though. The battery was puffy so I replaced that, but the symptom is that when the power button is depressed, the keyboard backlights will come on for about 10 seconds then go back off. Before depressing power button, I am drawing 112ma and oddly, there is no change in current draw once the button is pressed and the keyboard backlights illuminate.
Any ideas? - Loading...
