jvc LT-50A330 ....tv powers on with green light and has sound..there is a picture but no backlight....i tested and got 24v from ps to led driver board.....im thinking its a bad driver board but could be bad led lamps?

ok checked output voltages on driver board and get 0v
so i have ordered a driver board on ebay got it for 23.00 shipped...not bad
will keep updated when comes in and installed

Very true its all shit, the thing is turning the brightness down reduced current and voltage going to the leds. Which means they run cooler and can work longer. However Leds in tv backlights just dont cope very well with the amount of current in general not a very reliable solution. Led lcds cant beat a good old Plasma picture and reliability wise. I have seen a Fujitsu plasma with over 60,000 hours on the clock still working fine. I only obtained it to clean out and check over everything. general question......is it worth repairing pre 2009 lcd tvs?.....or not even worth it?.....i may buy a toshiba 37AV502U that has power issues.....for $20
honestly the older lcd tvs seem better built....mire steel in them and multiple boards....the tvs now are all plastic and all in one boards....they just feel cheap.....i actually dont like light weight items...to me it means cheap made....Comment

I have an 820-2610-A motherboard that has no green light.
I have noticed is when I do a SMC reset the light on the Magsafe blinks.
From My understanding, the sys onewire circuit is responsible for the green light on the magsafe
The sys onewire circuit on this model and others is more involved
I was hoping if anyone knows about this and how it works, can reply and let me know

First post here, and first ever laptop board repair.
I repair electronics as a profession, but not much experience in this field.
Don't have fine/thin tip probes, so probing small ICs on a live boards is not safe (yet).
If you ask me to get voltage readings from a certain bus, please tell me exactly where to probe. If you have an image with a red circle, that's even better.
Have found the board view file, but not sure where to start.
Have tried googling the following symptoms, but few match my symptoms and mainboard.

I have this 2011 MBP - the company I was working for, bought it at the time for a project and gave it to me after that. Later on, I gave it to my daughter which used it for normal internet browsing and office apps. At some point the, now famous, AMD GPU issue hit this laptop as well. I disabled the use of the AMD GPU following some information I found at the time (the one that, at the end, one moved AMD kext drivers to a backup location).
