Re: possible buy LG 55LX9500
Usually a bad sign when you open up a panel that a seller says "oh I never did anything with it ect" to find out stuff has been tampered with internally.
Could be mainboard or t-con, someone one has obviously been inside if the LVDS cable was disconnected.
I would reconnect it all and disconnected each side of the t-con and power it up and see if you get half screen.
Good luck!Comment

Re: possible buy LG 55LX9500
im thinking possible main board? the big heat sink in the middle of it gets hot to the touch with lvds disconnected.. if so no one has this board so i will need to try to do a repair on the component level. But i will need lots of help diagnosing the failed partsLast edited by whatusername; 08-08-2015, 12:34 AM.Comment

after leaving it on for a while with everything connected the pink noise sound came on but does not respond to volume buttons.. if i disconnect the lvds then it will respond to them.. and no i dont have coax to hook up im trying hdmi from tablet but no luck altho the tablet sound dissapears when i hook the hdmi to main board so its recognizing the hdmi has been plugged inComment

Re: possible buy LG 55LX9500
i found a free fsm for the 55lx9500-TA instead if the Ua model it looks the same so i assume testing would be the same..
i found the 24pin cable to main and with the manual got the pin out and measured voltages.. readings are as followed
tested / tested
pin: 1 = power on tested3.2v / Pin: 2= 24v tested 24.5
3 =24v tested 24.5 / 4= 24v tested 24.5

7= gnd tested 0v / 8= gnd tested 0v
9= 3.5v tested 3.3v / 10= 3.5v tested 3.3v
11= 3.5v tested 3.3v / 12= 3.5v tested 3.3v
13= gnd tested 0v / 14= gnd tested0v
15= gnd tested 0v / 16= nc tested 0v
17= 12v tested 12.2v / 18= inv.on 0v initially 15 min later when Bl turn on 3.0v

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....-

i got myself a complete Antminer T17+ with 3 dead hasboards for a very good price.... for parts i bought S17PRO boards.... i replaced all missing resistors and changed some asics because they were bad... but wihout a tester... i used the miner instead and changed firmware to awesome miner firmware for better and faster diagnoses via miner log and lower fan speed...
for my understanding and what i read on the internet these asics should be interchangeable in one chain but in my case i´m getting no more communication to none of the asics on all 3 boards. 2 of the boards weren´t in... -
by blazzeliaHi guys,
I have this 2011 MBP - the company I was working for, bought it at the time for a project and gave it to me after that. Later on, I gave it to my daughter which used it for normal internet browsing and office apps. At some point the, now famous, AMD GPU issue hit this laptop as well. I disabled the use of the AMD GPU following some information I found at the time (the one that, at the end, one moved AMD kext drivers to a backup location). So the laptop was using the CPU graphics and it was ok for the said daily usage. I even replaced the drive with an SSD one and it was operating... -
by tmcwI found this splitter cable a while back, just got a chance to look at it now, and wondering what it might have been used for. Had a bit of trouble finding out initially what it was, main block that looks like a male DVI connector, split to 2 female VGA connectors.
The main block that looks like a DVI connector is actually a VESA EVC male connector, best concise info here:
http://www.interfacebus.com/Design_E...or_Pinout.html
Pin 13 on the EVC connector is missing, so maybe removed for keying to some particular graphics card?
Never came...-
