Does not look like you can do much due the panel uses integrated T-CON, not replaceable board.

by silikon77Hi!
Got an 70 inch Philips tv model 70pus7855/12 from scraps and I decidet to give it a go. I'm an enthusiast but no porfessional in the electronics.
Found some advices watching youtube nad came up with this:
It came with no picture, after diagnosing it I found out that the right side of the T.con board was faulty.
I taped down the clock signals and I got a picture but the left side of the panel has less pronounced colours. Only the right 3rd side of the panel has good colors.
See attached picture.
I tried a few combinations to block individual clock...1 Photo01-02-2025, 02:26 PM -

Tv powers on and input is able to be selected/used, but the on screen menu closes as soon as it is opened and the there are some periodic "glitches" of the on screen menus in relation to position and size. I have tried all the system resets, but because the menus are not usable, i was unsuccessful. Does this seem like a panel issue? Odd that it only affects the menus and not the main input picture. I have already tried disconnecting front panel buttons assuming one was stuck down causing the input to continually be scanned or similar.

by croupier36Need help with this unit...looks like the colors are not displayed correctly....not an expert, but looks like something wrong with the GREEN...have attached the photo of the 'home menu' and the recorded video of the Demo video that's on the TV for viewing/testing.
Where should I look for faults? Everything else looks/works ok.
BTW...have upgraded to the latest FW/SW version, but nothing changed.... -
by panossIn the above mentioned monitor, I removed the plug a few times and this resulted no power.
I opened it, soldered the dc jack and worked again.
But since then colors have changed, too bright (or something like this) and lines, eg letter, are not very crisp as they used to be, they are vague, like faded out.
I checked voltages on the main board, they look ok (according to the service manual. It' attached at the bottom):
IC600 (D9329)
pin 1 (BST) 9.6V
pin 2 (VIN) 13.5V
pin 3 (SW(Switching output)) 4.8V
pin 7 (EN)
pin 8 (SS) 2.6V

by dbuergiHi all,
i got a A1990 which shows strange colors. Sometimes looking faded or like a water mark and only visible when the cursor moves over the spot. With an external display everything looks fine.
So is there anything i can do on my own to fix this issue?
It doesn't look like the flexgate macs i have seen....2 Photos - Loading...
