If you apply pressure to the top of the frame above the lines does it alter them?

This guy had the same issue as you, claims his TV was working fine, then he put the main and tcon in the same model TV and it caused this issue, even when he switched the parts back. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34358

Unless he was confused, could be the driver boards on one of his panels frying the tcon board.

            No, doesn't change at all

I'll have to take a closer look at the T-con board tomorrow, I pulled it out and cleaned it with alcohol and after I got the ribbon cables seated correctly is when the picture came back on,

When I first got the TV from my old boss it had no picture at all.

I do have a multi meter in case I need to check voltages, just would need to know what and where to check.

            Thanks

To me it's either the panel or the t-con as it's receiving an image fine from the mainboard.

Need someone experienced to help you out like budm or tom66.

Does the tcon have 2 ribbon cables coming out of it to the LCD? Unplug one and see if half of the screen turns white.

yes, it has 2 ribbon cables, I'm pretty sure when I remove one half the screen will go white, I will check that again and post back in a few.

What would that mean if half the screen goes white?

Want to add when I first got the picture to come back, you could see the picture all the way across the screen, except their were lines on the left side of the screen, (could see through the lines) now all I'm getting are the lines as I posted in the pic above ( on the left side)

                  Thanks

Just was checking things on the T-con board:

If I remove the ribbon cable for the left side, the left side of the screen goes pure white, right side still has picture but it is frozen.

if I re-install it and remove the ribbon cable for the right side the whole screen goes out.

at one point after shutting the tv off than turning it back on the left side that had the lines was solid black, turned the tv off and on again and the lines showed back up.

I removed the T-con board again, to check it out closely, nothing looks bad visually.

Cleaned the contacts on the cables coming into the t-con board, didn't change anything.

I think you need a new tcon board. You removed the ribbon and the defect on the screen went away and turned white, correct? You could check fuses, etc... but after that, it may go to replacing IC's and I am not shure if you want to do that or not, unless a replacement tcon is too expensive.

Yes, the side of the screen I removed the ribbon cable from went to white.

Also just tried cooling the board and a little heat, no change doing either.

Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for a new board, I see how hard they are to find.

                        Thanks Appreciate the help !

Has anyone had an experience with the places that offer to rebuild the T-con boards? I see there are a few on E-bay.

                          Thanks

Buffer board...or bad ribbon cable connection. Could also be a logic board..have you tested the logic board in self test mode to see if it generates test patterns?
