T-con board rebuilding
Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
Anyone ever used one of the rebuild services they have on E-bay to re-do the T-con board for this TV?
If so, recommendations on a particular company?
Thanks

Re: T-con board issue? Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
Yes, the side of the screen I removed the ribbon cable from went to white.
Also just tried cooling the board and a little heat, no change doing either.
Guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for a new board, I see how hard they are to find.
Thanks Appreciate the help !

Re: T-con board issue? Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
Just was checking things on the T-con board:
If I remove the ribbon cable for the left side, the left side of the screen goes pure white, right side still has picture but it is frozen.
if I re-install it and remove the ribbon cable for the right side the whole screen goes out.
at one point after shutting the tv off than turning it back on the left side that had the lines was solid black, turned the tv off and on again and the lines showed back up.
I removed the T-con board again, to...

Re: T-con board issue? Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
yes, it has 2 ribbon cables, I'm pretty sure when I remove one half the screen will go white, I will check that again and post back in a few.
What would that mean if half the screen goes white?
Want to add when I first got the picture to come back, you could see the picture all the way across the screen, except their were lines on the left side of the screen, (could see through the lines) now all I'm getting are the lines as I posted in the pic above ( on the left side)

Re: T-con board issue? Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
No, doesn't change at all
I'll have to take a closer look at the T-con board tomorrow, I pulled it out and cleaned it with alcohol and after I got the ribbon cables seated correctly is when the picture came back on,
When I first got the TV from my old boss it had no picture at all.
I do have a multi meter in case I need to check voltages, just would need to know what and where to check.
Thanks...

T-con board issue? Philips 52PFL5704D/F7
Would this be considered a T-con board issue?...

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Today's update:
Determined I didn't have the ribbon connectors seated properly, the small tabs on each side I had above the socket, noticed they need to be in the socket, got the cables seated correctly and I now have a picture, well almost a full picture,
About 12" on the left side is still scrambled, can see the picture through the lines but not clear like the rest of the picture is.
Any idea on that? Going to try re-cleaning the ends of the ribbon cables with alcohol in a few...

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Just went out and plugged the power cord back in, TV came on half the screen bright white, the other half like grey and black horizontal lines, than one side was multi color vertical lines other side was white, when ever I touch the socket (s) where the ribbon cables plug in ( top of the T- con board) the screen changes colors but still no picture.
Question, I unplugged both connectors on the bottom of the T-con board and the screen stayed the same with the lines, what might that mean?

Re: Philips 52PFL5704D/F7 Sound and Backlight, No Video.
Removed the rear panel, removed the T-con board, cleaned it, let it dry, re-installed it, nothing, pressed on the ribbon connectors on the top of the board and got something on the screen, lines, than one side was white the other was black, now nothing.
