My internet connection here is super slow, so the video will be uploaded in 3 hours, thus I'll post a link only tomorrow.

But unfortunately I didn't understand what do you mean by "tab bonding". Please could you explain it using different words. I also wonder how could I fix it? I have only these tools: multimeter and soldering-iron.

Oh, I see now. Thank you!

Ok, I'll try to disassemble my panel and check tabs.

And finally here is my video which shows the problem. I didn't record this video from the very beginning, but when I turned ON my TV everything was fine, then the screen begin to flicker a bit and then you can see colored vertical lines. Please watch it to the very end and you will see that after a picture test turns off automatically you can still see that picture on the background and vertical colored lines on the foreground:

          http://youtu.be/Sz6KJ3nX1QE

And I need to confess that when I watched movies I paused a movie, but didn't turn off TV, thus that paused movie frames were on the screen for the whole night. It happened about 5-6 times. Maybe that was the reason for the overheat.

No, I haven't tried to flex the panel. I'll try.

So I just turned on TV. It was OFF since last evening. And I suddenly saw the same problem. So this time it even didn't need to warm up. I decided to flex the panel. So I grabbed a top side of the panel and pulled it towards me. And then boom! The problem disappeared before I even started flexing it.

I don't know how to explain this issue. I left TV on and will wait. Maybe this problem will come back later....

Yup, the problem came back. I tried to flex TV, but it didn't help this time.

try holding the frame/bezel with your palm, and tap on the back see if anything on display changes if not tap it a little harder, try it in different spots too, trying to see if its the panel.

I am definitely interested in one of your boards as I got this fine tv off CL for a cool $50, and all it needs is a board to fix my vertical lines.

I have a Samsung LN46C630 with the same exact symptom of thin vertical lines (about 4 mm spacing) across the entire screen.
I have played around with it and found that if I flexed the LVDS cable at the connector on the main board, I could get the lines to disappear. The flexing exercise involves pulling the cable near the connector away from the main board.
I took a wooden stick about 1/8" in diameter and 2 inches long (about as wide as the cable) and wedged it between the cable and the main board. This provides upward pressure on the cable,
This has solved the problem temporarily.
I've order a new cable (BN96-12723D) and will report back when I've installed it

Well I tried replacing the LVDS cable and that did not solve the problem.
I found that pressing on the IC chip (see RED IC on the Main board photo), I could get the vertical lines to disappear.
It would appear that the BGA is in need of a rework. Maybe re balling.
I am not set up to do this type of work.
Anyone out there know a good reputable service and an approximate cost to re-ball the red IC in the photo?

                              Thank

                                by Stanley1843
Hello, I have a screen in where sometimes when I open it pop-up vertical multicolor lines (I would say the most of them are green). If I tun off and turn on the screen the lines dissapear or if I leave open the screen after approximately five minutes the lines gone. I measured the below voltages on the main PCB and on the T-CON board and the voltages are the same when it doesn’t display the vertical lines and when it displays the vertical lines. Also, I cleaned all the connectors very good with IPA. I moved back and forth the connectors and the COF tabs but the vertical lines didn't displayed...

I posted about this previously but didn't get any response, and I have some troubleshooted a bit so I have more info.

The screen is full of horizontal "gaps" or lines that distort the picture badly, and after about 10 seconds of powering it on the screen starts to fill with red vertical bars that take on the horizontal pattern. After the screen filled with the red bars, they instantly vanished and then slowly started to reappear. I initially thought it was tab bonding failure, but after getting down to them and pressing each one I find zero change in the picture. I went...

Thin stable coloured vertical lines on Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC come and go
                                by polaro
                                Greetings,

I've bought a used Samsung UN65NU6900FXZC LED TV. It worked fine for some time and then developed, at first, a single very thin (1 pixel) vertical stable blue line, from top to bottom, close to the left edge of the screen. Now it's 3 lines on the left. When I connect HDMI sources the number of the thin lines grow. After disconnecting and cold discharging I am back to 2 lines. The lines disappear at a rate of 15-20 minutes per line. So it does not look like a damaged LED panel. Any advice? Thanks...

                                by Anonmis
Hello all, I was recently repairing my Samsung 55" UN55JS9000 tv from the common burnt backlight LED's and cracked light guide panel issue. After replacing the LED's and putting the TV back together, I tested the tv and all I was getting was sound but no image. Somewhere along the way (could be related to the next issue) the T-Con board became damaged and after replacing it I have made a little bit of progress but now have bright pink vertical lines and still no image.

The bigger issue .... I took the TV apart again and realized that I likely didn't sit the LCD panel correctly...
