Sharp TV/Display, wont turn on. Brand new, used for maybe 30 minutes. Possibly heard pop then set went dead. I took a look at the boards, no visual damage to boards. The led power indicator is ON, remote will not turn on. I verified that backlights do come on when powered with separate power supply/LED tester. I also

Did that already. Got replacement. Trying to repair this one, since supplier told us we could keep it or dispose. Would be nice to have an extra display on hand.Comment

Try this test, meter in vdc mode, neg. probe on chassis ground pos. on ps-on>check voltage in standby, now leaving probes where they are try powering on tv with power button on tv while keeping an eye on the meter, does voltage change at all even momentarily? Next do the same for the bl-on, then pwm.Last edited by nomoresonys; Yesterday, 01:33 AM.Comment

Ok, thanks for helping out.
Running your test as described. I have 2.22vdc on ps-on, when in standby. when I try to power on the set, meter does not move at all, not even momentarily.
AS far as bl-on, there is 0.07vdc at standby, also doesnt move when trying to power on.
pwm, 0.00vdc at standby, doesnt move at all when trying to power on.
Appreciate the guidance......Comment

Try unhooking cable from powerboard to mainboard and check all the pins on there standby, ps-on, 12 v etc. For tv safety do all connect and disconnect of cable with tv unplugged from power.Comment

ok, so are you saying to remove power, disconnect cable from powerboard to mainboard and then reapply power and check the pins on the powerboard? Sorry if that's a dumb question. Thanks!

by JunkmanJimboSharp lc-55p6000u won't turn on. The standby light is on but nothing happens when the power button on the tv or remote is pushed. I'm thinking this is a main board issue but they are expensive. I was wondering if anybody could tell me how to repair the main board I have. There is a repair service on Ebay but they're also expensive. Since there's a repair service for this main board I was hoping somebody could help me with the repair. The main board part number is 221999. Thanks!!...

by pajdekHello, i have some issues with my laptop Lenovo Y700-17ISK (motherboard BY511 NM-A541), it started when i turn on the laptop, but the lcd wont turn on, i then connected it via hdmi to tv and screen was ok. Conncted power supply and tuned on my laptop, the lcd turn on, it started to load os, then it turn off, after a second it turn on, then after like 3 seconds turn off again, and so on. Removed power supply, waited...

by Egidio85hi, I have a sharp tv model LC-40LE814E with DPS-126CP-1 A power supply.
the tv initially turned on, displayed the image for 10 seconds and then turned off. so in a loop until the power was cut off.
reading the classic optocoupler problem I changed the mounted cosmos with SHARP PC817 recovered from other boards.
now the TV turns on for 1-2 seconds and turns off giving 2 flashes in the front LED.
to avoid banging too much I preferred to take an identical tested and working card (or so the supplier says)

Let me tell you a little bit about what happened to my laptop (MSI GF63 THIN 11UCX model: MS-16R6) that “maybe” you know how to solve this problem.
So before this problem happened, my laptop was running smoothly. When I wanted to restart my laptop, it looked fine at first. But after I waited for this restart process to take a long time, until finally I panicked (because the restart process did not finish plus the laptop screen only showed a black screen), I immediately pressed and held the power button to force the laptop to turn off. But... -
by robante15Hello, I have an Acer Aspire 4520 from a couple of decades ago and I want to repair it solely for nostalgia.
It happens that when I turn it on after having been disconnected for a long time, it turns on without problems, it tells me that the BIOS has been reset and that it will load the factory settings, if I tell it to continue, the computer turns on and everything works fine.
The moment I turn it off and want to turn it back on a second time, or restart it and try to start it again, it no longer gives an image, and it no longer responds.
If I remove the... - Loading...
