    AFFINITY LE3250 repair

    This unit has dead power supply, narrow the problem down to bad SMPS IC U101 WP35 (LD7535), the Gate drive pin has less than 100 Ohms reading. Got new IC from UTSOURCE (Ebay) and it is fixed.

      It worries me when a manufacturer of electronics can't proof read. What other things did they miss?

          Less than 2 years old, it has good pictures, the screen is TOSHIBA.

              I have never heard of Toshiba making large LCD panels, interesting.

                          I have this exact TV that is dead. Can you tell me how to find and measure U101? Your pictures aren't loading for some reason.

                                          Am after a schematif for 17IPS12 that uses the BM1Q001FJ-E2. I have pdf for the V3 version that uses FAN6300 but circuit is not the same.

                                          Samsung have been using this style LED connector for few years now



                                          Usually good idea to test the LEDs before opening the panel to change them. I do this without the PSU stil connected. With this connector (white one) have to jam the LED tester probes in the very narrow thin slot where the PSU blade style male prong inserts into. I've done this on many Samsungs without problem until today...

                                          The female terminal inside the white connector has fragile fingers that grabs onto the male blades on the PSU's black connector. If the LED tester probe spreads open...

                                          Laptop not turning on. On-board voltage from AC adapter was jumping between 3V (do not recall correctly) and 4.xV, and the fan spinning/stopping on its own.

                                          I'm repairing an Acer AL1916 monitor PSU at the moment. The 400v high voltage smoothing capacitor C114 is measuring completely O/C. The case of U101 has blown apart. Fuse F101 has blown. ZD121 reads 6 Ohms in both directions & ZD120 reads 99 Ohms in both directions. While looking at the data sheet of U101 (DM0565R), I noticed that the absolute maximum voltage for Vcc is 20v. However, the zener diode across the Vcc pin to GND is a 1N4748A (22v).

                                          Now, whether that zener is used to constantly regulate the voltage, or whether its's used to protect the Vcc voltage from rising too high,...
