Laptop not turning on. On-board voltage from [URL="https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=96608"]AC adapter[/URL] was jumping between 3V (do not recall correctly) and 4.xV, and the fan spinning/stopping on its own.

Do not know the solution but the caps lock blink sequence relates to memory and BIOS:
I'm fairly new here too but maybe better to open a new topic with more details on the problem (maybe same symphton but your board readings could differ and point to a different source of the problem).

The part is APL3523AQBI-TRG_TDFN14_2X3 ([URL="https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/548210/ANPEC/APL3523AQBI-TRG.html"]Datasheet[/URL]).
I transplanted one from 330S_KBL_MB_V09 board to NM-A381 (see attached pictures, AFAIK they are the same). Still waiting for another part before testing it.

DFN and TDFN package differences and compatibility
Hello. I've a noob question.
For same component model, are DFN (dual-flat no-leads) and TDFN (thin dual-flat no-leads) packages compatible? What are the differences, only the thickness/thinness? Is there a package format listing with such details (DFN and other types of component packages)?
I found some list on Wikipedia and some drawings/photos on datasheetdir but without specifying the differences.

Same after lifting up one side of L6001 and after removing the caps. That leaves pin 10 (VOUT) on U6001 so the 5V power supply seems bad, at least, and needs to be replaced.Leave a comment:

14 Ω on the side of the +V5 power supply. (so short on this side)

Has been working till now for two months after cleaning water damage.
Problem: does not power on. No consumption.
19-20V present.
3.3V and 5V not present.
No power around EC.
Missing ILIM, ACOK... on the charger. No EN nor PGOOD on the 3/5V power supplies.

Probably nothing will change. Was curious about it as the colors are clearly divided on the VGA and though that maybe they were shorted on the PCH, but this is probably a misconception on my part due to my limited knowledge on the subject.
If the screen panel, the LVDS connector and the cable are good then I'd rather think it is the PCH.
If I'm not mistaken the color behavior can be related to the LVDS data signals:
LVDS_A0#
LVDS_A1#
LVDS_A2#
LVDS_A0
LVDS_A1
LVDS_A2
