Samsung Model LN40B530P7F White Screen, washed out pic

I got this from someone who worked on it for a while then gave up about a year ago. He told me He got it to work for about 10 minutes then it reverted to the washed out white screen.
Any idea where to start on this? I'm thinking TCON PCB measure the voltages to it, etc. Any help and guidance is appreciated.
Posting a bunch of pics. Actually the image of the screen looks better in the pic than in reality.
If any more info is needed, let me know.

Looks like it could be the as15 chip on the tcon, but the red and blue lines could be indicative of panel failure, not sure if that is supposed to be a test photo

Can't download the file. Need to be recommended or take a test.
Took test got one wrong. Could not enlarge images of the test so couldn't see the circuit well. Can you recommend me? Don't know how that is done but whatever info is needed I will provide

Yes that is the test photo produced by the TV. Not sure what you mean by red and blue lines.

Take the DC voltage reading at the GAMMA Voltage test points pad 1~18 on the T-CON board and report those reading, chassis as the GND ref for the meter.

will do but may take a couple of days due to my schedule. I did google my symptoms and found a very similar case where replacing the TCON PCB fixed the problem. Anyone here local to Boston with a spare TCON PCB for sale?

Replacing the T-con will fix the issue in most cases but to confirm, if you report the GAMMA voltages, then we can tell you if there is a problem with them and therefore if replacing the T-con will fix it.

yes i will take the measurements as soon as I can. \
Will post the findings here. I am assuming to measure ALL points from 1 to 18 to chassis ground. Is this correct?
So I should have 18 readings all at DC Volts?

Yes and tell us what each point measures - for example:

Gamma 1 - 0.01V
Gamma 2 - 0.38V
...
Gamma 18 - 15.82V

etc.

Under the box where it says "There is no preview" You should find text that says "This file is downloadable free of charge. ...processing"

After a short time this should change to "This file is downloadable free of charge: Get Manual" and "Get Manual" is a link to download the file.

If the link never shows, try a different browser or disable your Adblock etc.

Glad you got the file, Sorry, I have no invites available to send out. The site is a little hard to navigate as it is primarily in Hungarian, but it is an absolute treasure trove of information. It will allow you to retake the test in about a month, keep trying.

You suould be able to get 2 downloads per day even if not a member- what browser are you using - doesnt work with them all.
