Oh shit my bad, I didn't look close at the chip, it's not bga so no reflow like Diah said. If the caps near a chip read short on the board but ok off the board then a lot of times it's that chip that's bad.

I hear you, probably not worth investing much in. I wonder if one of those cheap universal mainboards would work for this tv.

Doesn’t mean anything with these Mediatek IC’s. If you search older threads here, you find tons of mainboards with this Mediatek IC that failed just like that.

You have my vote CapLeaker, I would like to see that chip switched out. If you try it Bohaboha, maybe practice on some scrap boards and check some youtube videos for technique.

it is not Shure that Mediatek IC is the fault because i found some shorted caps on the other side of the board so it is not clear yet

That is not a good sign if the caps underneath the Mediatek are shorted.

                              B) On a hunch of a locked up Google OS, plugged in a USB memory stick with latest FW and plugged it in. It booted into the update screen, completed the update and restarted to Home screen.

                              D) Ran a 4K screen saver demo for about 6 hours, then turned it off for the day. Did not notice any stripes, dead zones or other artifacts in the image.

Hello, can someone please help me. i have a dead laptop mainboard, aspire a315-55 with board model DA0ZAWMB8G0 rev. G

ThinkPad T14 Gen1 Intel, dead mainboard
                              by 3mz3t
NM-C931 mainboard, does not start, no light, no nothing. Draws 20.56 V / 0.14 A from a wall charger.

Under thermal camera, the only thing that show is the ThinkEngine chip (BD4179MWV / UTE1B) heating up (also quite hot to the touch), there's 19.75 V on the VREGIN20 (pin 45).

                              Is the BD4179 dead? WDYT?

                              Thank you....

                              Sony 55W905 dead
                              by Talyn
                              Hi,
My Sony W905 started to turn itself off an on every few minutes and blinking 8 times red in standby. A few minutes later the tv was completely dead.
I can only hear the click of the PSU when attaching/detaching the power cable. No standby LED.

                              Any advice? Thanks!

Sony KDL-65W850C is this a Mainboard issue ??
                              by mmartell
This sat around for quite some time after the backlights died with the six blink error code. I bought replacement strips and eventually swapped them in.

Backlights appear to be working fine now. However the tv only powers on with the "Sony" logo for about two seconds after which it goes away and the panel with backlights stay powered for about twenty more seconds then it shuts off. Tv can only be powered again after power cycling at the outlet.

It will not program via usb, the stick flashes but there is never any indication that it has entered programming...
