Hi again i took away one of those 3 capacitor but the short still there. even the one near SoC and nothing happened i will go on and take away the choke and se what it gives but it is possible as Diah said the culprit is the SoC MT5367

The problem IS the Mediatek IC. Kinda surprised it held up that long. They were a lot of problems with these Mediatek IC’s back then.

ok but this one seems to work he is getting a normal temp but of course that old must get tired .but maybe a reflow will take him back to live

you said you don't have 12V on Panel fuse... so check this area where you could find this 12V

Just carefully reflow the mediatek, won't hurt it as long as you don't overdo the heat but too little heat will have no effect. Then try it, might get lucky. Check youtube, plenty of good diy reflow tips there, remember that not all of the youtubers do it right so probably have to wade thru some.

Quit because THIS SITE LETS A ROGUE MEMBER TYPE ANY GARBAGE HE PLEASES AND THE POWERS THAT BE NEVER DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT SO HE NEVER QUITS. THEN YOU GET A PENALTY FOR RESPONDING TO HIS ATTACKS. BEEN GOING ON FOR WAY TOO LONG. DONE SUPPORTING A SITE THAT ALLOWS THIS BS.

because there is no voltage at the fuse and at all the panel Bond both parts i do not find any voltage att all and i do not find any voltage at that socket on your picture just on the capacitor under it there is 12.25V

i have this IRDA SMD And BGA Rework Station T-862++ i am thinking to use to just reflow the chip maybe 220 degres C max use on this one is 350" C i think

From heating mediatek, you will not have a short circuit on the motherboard.

Then you think it is worth a tray with my tool ? or better to use hot Gun and a good preheating 220" to 230" C

What do you want to do with the Mediatek chip, replace it with a new one, are you sure that it is short-circuiting or do you just want to warm it up and think that the short circuit will disappear.

ThinkPad T14 Gen1 Intel, dead mainboard
                                            by 3mz3t
NM-C931 mainboard, does not start, no light, no nothing. Draws 20.56 V / 0.14 A from a wall charger.

Under thermal camera, the only thing that show is the ThinkEngine chip (BD4179MWV / UTE1B) heating up (also quite hot to the touch), there's 19.75 V on the VREGIN20 (pin 45).

                                            Is the BD4179 dead? WDYT?

                                            Thank you....

                                            Hi,
My Sony W905 started to turn itself off an on every few minutes and blinking 8 times red in standby. A few minutes later the tv was completely dead.
I can only hear the click of the PSU when attaching/detaching the power cable. No standby LED.

                                            Any advice? Thanks!

Sony KDL-65W850C is this a Mainboard issue ??

This sat around for quite some time after the backlights died with the six blink error code. I bought replacement strips and eventually swapped them in.

Backlights appear to be working fine now. However the tv only powers on with the "Sony" logo for about two seconds after which it goes away and the panel with backlights stay powered for about twenty more seconds then it shuts off. Tv can only be powered again after power cycling at the outlet.

It will not program via usb, the stick flashes but there is never any indication that it has entered programming...
