Panasonic 37PX8EA 1 Blink error

Hey People ,

Im new to this forum so first of all hi!
English is not my first language so forgive me for some grammar mistakes.


I got a Panasonic 37PX8EA which has the 1 blink error message , been reading a lot of information on the internet/this forum and if im correct the problem is the "STV 5v Sense DG board" right? Where on the DG Board can i find the component that is causing the problem?

I also read that it can be a EEPROM problem? Where is the EEPROM located on the DG board?
I already tested the tv with a spare power supply but it does exactly the same with both power supply's. So it turns on , i hear the relay click and after a few seconds it clicks again and the led goes from green to red.

Its easy to throw away the DG board and buy a second hand board from ebay but i want to learn more about these boards.

More information about this plasma to give you guys as much information as i can! ( im pretty new to this )

1) The TV has a total of 4 boards. ( Power supply , Zsus , Ysus , DG board. )
2) DG board model nr = TNPH0711 / TXN/A1BVUD

I have a different panasonic tv as a spare but it has a different DG board. ( 1 big board with a small board behind it ). ( model TNPA4310 )

If anyone could help me out or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. thx!!

I hope that i named the boards correctly. With DG board i mean the board that has all those IC's. ( IC9001 for example ).

A picture of the board you are asking about might create a bit more interest.
Post it using manage attachments should be no bigger than 2mb and 2000x2000

Try unplugging Y and z sus. boards then turn on set. This could eliminate 1/2 your problem,

I already tried to remove Y/Z sus boards but the problem stays the same! The blinks never change to 5/6/7/8/9/10 etc.

I did ask you to post the picture on site so they remain for reference.

They are not clear enough to see the detail - you will need to google the part numbers and check out which are eeprom.
I believe ESMT make bios chips so may well be those.

Ok thx , i will try to find out wich 1 is the EEPROM. Do you think that chip is the problem?

When i remove just the Y-sus board the system turns on and gives 1 blink code
When i remove 1 cable from the Z-sus board the system turns on and gives 1 blink code
When i remove the Z-sus completely the system does NOT turn on.
When i remove just the mainboard the system does not turn on.

The blinks never change in all combinations.

eeprom chips are also made by Atmel if you can find any of those?
