Thanks, tom66. Measuring as you describe, the voltage is 215 to 218 VDC, reading same voltage w.r.t. chassis ground on both sides of the SMD fuse.

Yeah, you're right, my voltmeter is shot. But it measures *something*, so I took a reading of a 12-volt car battery (2 samples), and obtained by ratio an approximation for the SMD fuse voltage at 17.4 VDC. Best I can do, until a get a new voltmeter.

With brand new batteries, the fuse voltage reads about 100 VDC on this multimeter. I originally expected a value between 12 and 16 VDC, since it's just a logic card. An SMD fuse, code K, is rated at 1.5 A / 32 V, but I don't know if those values apply to this particular fuse. Does anyone know the actual expected value for the fuse voltage of this T-Con board?

Show us what range you are measuring on, maybe your meter is bust and you need to replace it. If we cannot trust the meter readings it creates problems for us.

Purchased new digital multimeter. The SMD fuse reads 11.85 VDC, on either side, w.r.t. chassis ground.

Thanks for the data sheet I noticed right on the 1st page
The EC5575 is available in a space saving
48-pin TQFP package, and the operating
temperature is from –20°C to +85°C. we all know they get hotter than 85°C and
I have added some sort of heatsink whenever possible to them on the tv's I work on
because alot of them don't use any metal shield or anyway to disipate the heat

The SMD fuse voltage is 11.85 VDC, either end. What else should I measure? In order to return this board in a timely way, I need to establish whether it works by the end of today, Friday, July 25. I bought a new digital multimeter for the purpose.

I returned the T-Con board that would not produce video, got a replacement, installed it. Now the TV is working fine.
