Sony KDL-46S2530 Sound & No Picture.

hi there guys got a Sony KDL-46S2530 which has sound and no picture. i have tested the power board and the volatges going to the main board and inverter and they are as follows if anyone knows what the problem could be ?

Power Board To Inverter :

PFC DET - 0.01V
RELY ON - 3.34V

Any LED blinking code?
Pictures of the inverter boards with covers removed and pictures of the labels on the inverter board connectors.

no blinking LED code, could it be a problem with inverters though as i get backlights come on, just no picture ?

Since the backlights are on, it's probably a TCON issue. Check the fuse on the TCON. Also check that there is voltage at the fuse.

Take good clear pictures of the T-CON board, right now it is not clear enough to see the fuse.
BTW "i get backlights come on" that was another missing clue.

sorry Budm your right, should mentioned that from the start, camera is poor quality so got exact same board image from Google images.

check the fuse - little green device marked "P".

Tom checked that and it read -660

when the sets switched on what voltage do you get to each side of the fuse.

what do i switch it to on the multimeter is it 20V or the fuse symbol ?

20V DC, red probe one end, black probe on chassis, note reading down, then switch red probe to other end and note reading down again.

jumping between 0.44v - 0.48v on one side and other side is solid at 4.99v

Replace the fuse. It is blown and probably causing your fault.

fuse is open circuit then there may be a test you can do to see if theres a short on the board lets see what one of the others members say.

yes try it if you have a spare one of the correct rating thats what i would do at worst i guess it will blow again or work perfectly ok.
