HP Z440 Workstation – Missing resistors around the BIOS IC pins, boardview needed
Hello everyone, I am currently experiencing an issue where the fan spins briefly and then shuts off repeatedly on an HP Z440 Workstation. Previously, the user removed the BIOS chip and reprogrammed it themselves, but accidentally caused the loss of several resistor components on pins 1, 2, 3, 5, and 6 of the BIOS chip. However, I do not have the schematic or boardview to determine the specifications of the missing resistors. If anyone has the boardview or knows the values of those resistors, please help me. Hello everyone, I’m working on the motherboard of an ASUS FX516PC. Initially, the laptop had no response at all because the user replaced the RAM and accidentally caused a short circuit, which burned the EC. I replaced the EC and the machine now powers on and shows display, but it does not detect the GPU.
When I check the GPU power rails, there is no voltage for the VRAM and no 0.9V for the Vcore. The DGPU_FBVDDQ_EN signal, which enables the VRAM power, is missing. At the LOGIC IC SLG4U44336V (STQFN20 package), I have +3VSUS and 1.8V MAINEN_GPU. I replaced the SLG4U44336V logic... -

The logo freeze errors on the 7400 2-in-1 are often caused by:- The SSD hard drive of the device.
- The ALC3254 audio IC.

Thank you very much. I’ve found the cause and fixed it — the laptop is now working perfectly again. The main issue was a faulty battery, which I’ve replaced with a new one. Interestingly, this problem only occurs on Intel-based models, while the MacBook Air M1 still works fine without a battery — quite a difference!...Leave a comment:

Hey everyone,
I’ve got a MacBook Air A2179 that got some water damage through the keyboard. Now it powers on, shows the Apple logo, but just stays stuck there — no startup chime, no keyboard backlight, and no progress bar under the Apple logo.
When I try to boot into Internet Recovery (Option + Command + R), the mouse cursor is extremely slow and laggy — like when I lift my finger off the trackpad, the cursor keeps drifting slowly for a second or two.
