    Element Flx-3210 won't turn on

I have above listed tv. The red stand by light does not change after touching the power button. I have looked at caps and none are bulged.I have tested output voltages and the only thing that maybe wrong is the 12 volt is showing 10.8. Also the voltage at the large cap is showing297 all the time. Any ideas would help. Thank you and hope everyone has a great day.

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on

As you have read the previous posts regarding this set you will know that some have had success by replacing the two caps under the heatshield. If yours are HE brand then
maybe try the same. Without seeing your boards it is impossible to see other problems that may be visible.
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Does anyone have a way to check if this set has the VGA shut down problem? Any way to test for that?

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on

I have done some more testing today. This set has a 200 P00 MLT666A AH power supply. I disconnected connector 5 ( the one with 5, 12, 24 volt, grd). The only terminal with power with it not connected to the main board is 5vsb, and with it connected to the main board all terminals have correct voltage. Im starting to think that its the power button. Does anyone know how those touch buttons work? Also is there a way to test for my theory? Thank you

Has anyone on here heard or worked on one of these sets that had the VGA shut down issue? If so was you able to fix it and do you know what causes the issue?

Does anyone know anything about the VGA causing the set to shut off and never to be powered up again? Was it a software glitch, or a hardware fault? I thought I read somewhere that pin 9 becomes shorted but I can't seem to find that info again or I may have misunderstood. Please any leads would help. Thank you

Another question, A lot of these proview tv use similar main boards. Mine uses a 899 kj0 uf3212xa1h I was wondering if I find another part number cheap on ebay will the tv work. What I mean is I understand that the splash screen maybe different. Also understand that the inputs maybe different. I want to know if it will make the set function as the model that main board came from. Has anyone mixed and match main boards on this type of set? If so what has happened?
