Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
Thank you for your help I don't want to be part of a board that acts like this. Other forums that I have been part of have had people on them that would try and help others. If I knew what I was doing I would not have come to this forum. Once again thank you to everyone that tried to help me. Its to bad there are a few on here that cause people to not want to be part of it.

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
I have been testing the 37 pin D sub connector. I have been able to apply 5 volts to BL-ON and get the back lighting to turn on. I tryied applying 5 volts to power on and I get nothing. I also tested to see if this pin went high while touching the power button and I got nothing. Does anyone know what I should see at these connector points. I have a service manual for a FLM-2632 and it shows this connector. It seems to be the same as my model. Any input would help me out. Thank you

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
I am looking for someone that has worked on this type of set before. I am looking for knowledge of the set on most of my questions. I can look at the board and see problem areas and I would have checked them out before joining this board.

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
Another question, A lot of these proview tv use similar main boards. Mine uses a 899 kj0 uf3212xa1h I was wondering if I find another part number cheap on ebay will the tv work. What I mean is I understand that the splash screen maybe different. Also understand that the inputs maybe different. I want to know if it will make the set function as the model that main board came from. Has anyone mixed and match main boards on this type of set? If so what has happened?

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
Does anyone know anything about the VGA causing the set to shut off and never to be powered up again? Was it a software glitch, or a hardware fault? I thought I read somewhere that pin 9 becomes shorted but I can't seem to find that info again or I may have misunderstood. Please any leads would help. Thank you

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
Has anyone on here heard or worked on one of these sets that had the VGA shut down issue? If so was you able to fix it and do you know what causes the issue?

Re: Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
I have done some more testing today. This set has a 200 P00 MLT666A AH power supply. I disconnected connector 5 ( the one with 5, 12, 24 volt, grd). The only terminal with power with it not connected to the main board is 5vsb, and with it connected to the main board all terminals have correct voltage. Im starting to think that its the power button. Does anyone know how those touch buttons work? Also is there a way to test for my theory? Thank you

Element Flx-3210 won't turn on
I have above listed tv. The red stand by light does not change after touching the power button. I have looked at caps and none are bulged.I have tested output voltages and the only thing that maybe wrong is the 12 volt is showing 10.8. Also the voltage at the large cap is showing297 all the time. Any ideas would help. Thank you and hope everyone has a great day.

Re: Element FLX-3210 Won't Turn On
Me again Also I just checked voltage at the large capacitor before touching power button =296 volts. After touching power button no difference. I am not sure that this is being told to turn on. Once again thanks and hope everyone has a great day.

Re: Element FLX-3210 Won't Turn On
I am having the same issue with a FLX-3210. I have checked voltages on the output connectors. I see all of the voltages. The 12 volt output is only about 10.8 volts but all others are correct. I don't know the history of the set. I was wondering if there is a way to check to make sure the power button is working? Also this maybe one with the VGA issue. Is there a way to check to see if the VGA caused problems? Also is there a way to force the power supply on? Thanks guys for any help.
