Heating up the power supply definitely gets rid of the issue. So does this mean there's something wrong on the power supply, or bad caps on the TCON?

It's about 40F today and I plugged it in to what it would look like. It only had about a 1 inch bar across the bottom this time, and like before it slowing moved down and off the screen. I put a heater on the power supply and unplugged the tv to see if it would come back. It did not come back. I'm thinking of taking it inside my house and letting it sit at room temperature. I have a feeling it would work fine in normal temperatures, although that still wouldn't be a "fix".

Attached are photos of the boards. I did clean the ribbons and well.

I haven't had a chance to look into this yet, but the other night I turned it on and the bottom half was black with white horizontal lines, and last night the entire screen was black with white horizontal lines going straight down the center spanning about 2/3 of the screen. I'm thinking it's gone into full tcon failure at this point. I'm guessing the caps on it would be surface mount? I do have the means to replace them now, but if it's too many a new tcon would probably be worth it.

Odd indeed. Perhaps it's the ribbon from the main to the tcon as I did obviously mess with that one. The connectors on these main boards are finicky I've noticed. There's little cut outs in the sides of each end where they sit in the connectors and you close the clip, rather than sliding it in and the clip putting pressure on it. I had to open it last night because the IR sensor wasn't working. Turned out it's ribbon came undone at the sensor side. I don't know why I didn't think to check the others while it was open.

Here's some more pics of it. The whole bar ticks downward until it's gone completely and then the picture is perfect afterwards. I noticed that it happens now whenever it's been unplugged. I used it for about a week without ever seeing this and I didn't unplug it during that time.

Edit: I'm kind of wondering if it could be a tcon issue

It works when I open it 🤔

Here's a picture of it... But do note, the whole bar DOES move downward in slight increments like a screensaver.

So I turned it on tonight and it was doing something strange. See the attached video. The bar was moving down just like a no signal box would. I did a factory reset and it didn't do it again. What could this be?

Good to hear the replacement board fixed the issue and another tv saved

It'd probably be updated anyway. Vizio is bad at keeping their tvs updated so the last update was probably years ago.

If it works fine without an update, there's probably no great need to update.

I ordered a board. Should be here sometime next week. When it comes, considering the tv is fixed, should I update it if it's outdated? Or should I not take that gamble?

Vizio E701i-A3 stuck at logo, need service manual
    by paulxxxx
The TV stuck at logo and cannot be turned off unless the cord is unplugged.
I was given two main boards and exactly the the same thing happens to both of them.
I have checked all voltages on the connector on the power board that goes into the main board and they all look OK.
There are no signs of damage on any of the 3 boards.

Would someone help me with a pointer to the manual? It's supposedly to be the same as E601i-A3.

    Thanks!

    by G33RT
Philips 8200 series 65PUS8204/12 stuck at Philips Logo, it does not reboot it just stays on the logo.

It does power up when pressing the power button.

I already try the power button while plugin the plug with no result.
Also put the latest firmware autorun-TPM191E_R.001.004.100.000.upg on a MBR/FAT32 USB stick at USB port2 with no result either.

Could this be an PSU or eMMC issue ?

Vizio M65-C1 | Logo appears for 10 seconds then off
    by Bob1394
I have used the search, and am stumped.

My Vizio M65-C1, Vizio logo appears for about 10 seconds then goes off.Power LED blinks 15 times then the TV powers down.

I have read through many threads on the M65-C1 including the following threads. I feel like I must be looking right past the solution to my problem:

JVC LT-50N795 Stuck on Wisdom Share Logo
    by justice171
    Hi everyone,

I'm working on a JVC TV for a client that's stuck on the "Wisdom Share" logo screen.

It's a model LT-50N795 with a board number TP.HV510.PC822. I attempted a firmware update via USB, and while the upgrade was completed successfully, the TV is still stuck on the Wisdom Share screen on reboot.

Has anyone encountered this issue before, or does anyone have any suggestions on possible solutions?

    Thanks in advance!

Vizio E701i-A3 Vizio logo flashing then turns off
    by Super360
Ok so here's the story. I was watching tv one day when all of a sudden I heard a pop from the back of the tv set and rushed to unplug the set. By this time the tv already had smoke coming out the back. It was not storming or inclement weather that day to cause a power surge to the best of my abilities. When I opened the tv up, I found that the three capacitors on the psu (highlighted in red) were all bulging and looked they had exploded. I replaced all of them right away and when I went to start up the tv after the "fix" it started just showing the flashing vizio logo as soon as power...
