Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
First I just want to say hats off to budm for his thread /tutorial for Voltage Regulator (LDO) testing, thats good reading right there so thank you for that. So I tested the voltages then checked then rechecked just to make sure. As far as the part number I did the best I could that wasnt an easy task. There were some that had a backwards C so I will use " ) " in its place. If there are any you want me to recheck please let me know and I will get right on it. Also if the format is incorrect please let me know. Thanks

There are many readings. you need to check your meter first and make sure the batteries are good and the setting is set to DCV.

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
Can I get good closed up pictures of this DU4 so I can see how the 3 legs are connected?
Looking at this picture: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...6&d=1454392483
The DU4 looks to be an Adjustable 1117.Last edited by budm; 02-04-2016, 09:39 AM.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
Getting that picture was trickier than I thought it would be. Things sure do look different when under a magnifying glass. I also figured I would put DU1 on the list as well being that I left it out

I also rechecked the voltages on DU4 and nothing as changed.Comment

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
My working set has the following readings for DU4
Pin1: 0.0v
Pin 2:1.24V
Pin3: 3.3v
Pin 2 is off for you. It doesn't look adjustable. DL6 and DCE11 are on that same 1.24 volt line. Make sure those are ok.Last edited by Nick's Tvs; 02-04-2016, 07:50 PM.Comment

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
DU4 is an adjustable based on the two resistor network (one between ADJ and the Output pin, Resistor DR6, and another resistor between ADJ pin and GND, DR10).
The output Voltage can be calculated by knowing the values of those two resistors.Last edited by budm; 02-04-2016, 10:40 PM.Never stop learning

Re: Vizio GV47LFHDTV10A No Picture No Sound Fix
The resistors are for setting the output Voltage, it will be the IC.
You need to get at least two adj type 1117 Regulator ICs (U5 , DU4).
Tricky part will be removing and installing the ICs without disturbing the resistors and caps closed by, so I hope you are good at surface mount repair.Last edited by budm; 02-04-2016, 11:03 PM.Never stop learning

by ggil44Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?by Tynan DillI was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.
Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.
I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.
The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.
With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

by MgiffuneI have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.
I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and... -
by IerwinHello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged... - Loading...
