    Re: Screen change

im guessing only if the panels are made by the same manufacturer with the same model number and the same connections

      Re: Screen change

You need to look up the spec sheet of both panel to match the Inverter board and the T-CON board pin out and the required operating voltage and current.

Get the model number of the LCD panel assembly, there should be a sticker on the LCD panel, then just Google that model number.
For example, you can see the white sticker in this pictures here:
          http://s807.photobucket.com/user/bud...tml?sort=3&o=3
The pictures in this album is showing what I had to do to get the same LCD panel company but different model number to work, lots of works.

No, because same model can have more than one brand of LCD panels, circuit boards, etc.

That SHARP probably uses SHARP LCD panel, so a swap would not be usually possible unless into/from another TV using a SHARP panel (certain Philips, LG, Samsung TVs.)

The part number you have listed is a Samsung LCD part. Sharp only rarely use Samsung panels.

No, because the panel signals used by the main board probably won't be compatible, also Sharp usually do not use 24V inverters so that would not be a straight swap either.

No, probably not. Only way to be sure is compare connectors but from memory they're completely different. Are you saying the Sharp you have is a Vestel based pile of crap? It may use a Samsung panel then, but if the Sharp/Vestel clone is much newer, it is unlikely the panels will be compatible, they change so often.

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

                                          Another TV topic!!
I got this sharp TV that when I first plugged it in it showed the sharp logo and then went to the input screen. This was about 30 seconds and then it showed white screen. Now I can't see anything but white screen. This has a separate TCON and Main.

The TCON is getting 12V and several parts are as well but the VGH line is only .5Volts which I thought is totally incorrect.

Am I on the correct assumption that the TCON is bad somehow if I'm only getting that voltage or is there something else I should check?...

I have a older eddy current tester made by Olympus that uses interchangeable TFT-LCD screens. I have two devices that each take the same removable screens. One is an Olympus NORTEC 200D+ and the other is an Olympus SONIC 1200M EMI. I have searched the internet high and low for service manuals for these units with no luck. Both these units were used extensively by the US military for NDT on airplanes. The detachable screen plugs into the base unit via a weird non standard VGA connector. Buttons on the removable display are used to power the units on. When the power button is pressed the unit makes...

I found another post on this site the other day which has been very helpful in troubleshooting this issue I am having with my tv. The left half of the screen is dark, and the other half is VERY slow to generate it's image - and it only generates part of its image at that.
Based on this yt video, I have narrowed it down to an issue (short?) on the left side of the display, somewhere in the system of ribbon cables.
when I remove the bezel and the rear cover, I can get the image to display correctly by manipulating the ribbon cables on the left side which connects the left lower display...

                                          Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...
