This is only 22" TV, it is not really worth it to get the new boards, but you can inspect all other components on the power supply, the main board, the LCD panel board, etc.

I think the diodes are good

        Dm801: 1st reading OFL, 2nd reading 0.469(leads reversed)
        Dm802: 1st reading OFL, 2nd reading 0.453 (leads reversed)

Bud the pdf you attached is of the burned component on the backside?

reason i ask is because the electronics guy at work removed it for me today and it doesnt look like the one in the pdf

the one i removed is a surface mount with only 3 legs

i attached a pic of it removed

Yes, the SMD ref diode has 3 legs, something like TL431.

Bud i already replaced the IC under the heat sink
i replaced it with a ICE3A1065ELJ ( pdf is attached in previos posts)
Tom confirmed i can use this one since the original had a lead time of 12 weeks and a minumum quantity of 1200pcs

how do i figure out which diode i need on the back side of the board which you said might be a TL431?

Ideally, you can look up the part numbers in most Samsung power supply service manuals. There don't appear to be any free service manuals available for this TV. I keep seeing "KA431" for other Samsung power supplies when I do a search by "ICM851 Samsung"; I've always understood KA431 to be the same as TL431.

im on the digikey website and there are several TL431

                  which one should i get?

also should i replace the start up cap and the fusible resistor?

i want to make sure i order all the components at one time

This appears to be a good replacement: http://www.digikey.com/product-detai...64-1-ND/863961

Bud will know better than I would. It looks like your resistor is ok, but I might consider replacing it. I couldn't see the bands' colors well in your pic, but another pic online shows them as yellow, black, silver, and gold: 0.4 ohms 5% tolerance. It wouldn't hurt to replace the cap; most will recommend Panasonic FM, FC, or FR series caps.

yes you are correct on the resistor

i will order the cap and resistor

what about the chip on PC801S?
should i replace that as well?

digikey does not carry the resistor

I doubt that PC801S is faulty. I'd just replace the resistor, cap, and ICM851.

digikey and mouser do not have the resistor

i will order the rest and continue to search for the resistor

The resistor may be ok, but I'd feel more comfortable replacing it.

OK, the opto's iNternal LED (the black 4-pin device) is connected in series with the ref diode, so if the ref diode blew up, then, the opto is more likely to be damaged also.

PC801S close to that burnt component ICM851, you can see that in the app notes diagram I have shown also.

Should I order an extra one to replace the one above it (RM863)

                                            Hi all!

I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅

I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

                                            Hi all,

TL;DR - this laptop is driving me nuts with the oddball power-related behaviors. Appreciate any insight you can provide!

I'm experiencing a power issue on an Asus Probook P5440UF-XB74. Although I've worked with electronics and computers for decades, this is my first attempt at getting into motherboard-level component troubleshooting. Any help the community can provide is greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone and thanks in advance for any help I might get here

My Samsung TV is about 4 years old. The exact model number is UE75MU7009TXZG.
About half a year ago I started seeing occasional green frames pop up while watching movies. I mean literally green frames. Not the image turning green, but the entire screen turning green for a split second. This happened maybe once or twice during a 2 hour movie. So no big deal, but clearly something was not quite right.

Since a few days, the TV won't turn...

Samsung TV won't turn on ... keeps cycling the power relay on & off

                                            Hi All,
First time posting here ... my name is Kevin but my friends call me Journey.
I have a Samsung 75" LCD model UN75RU8000FXZA that I don't remember the original fault other than it wouldn't power up anymore.
After it sat for many month's I decide to look at it again. The motherboard seemed to have power regulation issues. After much fussing I decided to just get a new MB.
It came a few days ago and I installed it now just cycles the power relay on and off ... when on the backlights light up and then dim and then relay kicks off and the whole things starts again....

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply

I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...
